Latest Ute-centric rumors are Kansas and Okla. St. to P12 with 100mm per year in new media deal (ESPN-NBC-Amazon-Apple). I don’t k it which aspect is harder to believe, but I’ll go with 100mm.

No, I believe Kansas and OK St would raise the value of the PAC 12. Drop in replacements for U$C and UCLA. But you are right, $100mm is a bit high. It is more like $10.79 (up from $2.59).

I don't get why Oregon would be more attractive than Utah other than the Mormon thing. Utah has a national championship in the past 14 years. Multiple big bowls. One of the greatest Rose Bowls ever. Lost barely because Cam Rising went down. Still super exciting and a zillion eyeballs. Utah regularly gets named among the most bad ass teams. Population comparable but Utah's U.'s enrollment is bigger. Utah is ranked higher in the US News academic polls. Both are AAU. The LDS stigma is an albatross.

UCF’s 2017 college football national title claim is no longer a statement from the Florida university or it’s fan base. The Knights are now in the NCAA record book as co-national champions with Alabama for the 2017 season. Colley Matrix ranked UCF as the national champions for the 2017 season in its final poll.

Well, the Tribune article says that Utah is in the NCAA records as the 2008 national champion.

Look, this is a tiresome, sophomoric debate. I'll just say this, and I say it with total goodwill and without rancor. I think objectively, rationally, anyone would rather have Utah's season that BYU's "NC,", considering the number of highly ranked teams Utah beat, including no. 2 "Bama in the Sugar Bowl, the number of sports writers who argued Utah deserved the NC, what all the computers said, that it was in the modern epoch, etc.

From what I've gathered from the national media, the utes brand is "a cool stadium filled with whiny fans." Eleven years later, Utah and Colorado are still considered by many fans Pac10 stepchildren that lucked out in Larry Scott's folly, part 1.
