So the P12 might sign a streaming deal with Apple TV because they like tech and academics? Haha. That would be right on brand.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View Post
I will say it again, a primarily streaming deal would be suicide for the conference - no matter how much money they get."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

If it's an all Apple.deal, and then Apple sublets it to linear TV, that could certainly be workable. Arizona's president says it has to be at least 50% linear tv. Maybe this is where Ion TV or the Turner networks could be used.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View Post

Simply fascinating. Canzano was saying there would be a board meeting on the 21st and things would start moving from there.
I think Canzano is actually part of the "12anon" group, if not the leader.
Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

FIFY... https://thedesk.net/2023/01/comcast-...ayment-rebate/Originally posted by YOhio View PostI wonder if having an overpaid conference network for a decade that no carrier wanted to pick up has anything to do with nobody wanting to pay for media rights.

Jim Williams in that Youtube from yesterday(?) was suggesting that the PAC could offer some of its game FOR FREE to a network like Fox after signing a majority streaming deal in order to get more exposure on linear. Seems like a crazy idea, but if the PAC is desperate enough, who knows. Maybe that is what is meant by 'in play."Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

Yeah, it could mean not paying anything and putting the Pac 12 games in the midnight time slots... The Big 12 doesn't have a lot of left-coast inventory for these time slots (yet).Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post
