Raja Bell plays the entire 1st quarter and goes 1 for 3 with zero assists, rebounds, steals, blocks
Somehow Hayward got credit for 3 assists, 2 turnovers and a steal and zero across the rest of the box score and was virtually uninvolved on the offense and couldn't guard anybody on D.Last edited by Jacob; 01-22-2011, 05:20 PM.

Just looking at some stats I'm not quite sure how to interpret: but based on this:
http://www.82games.com/1011/1011UTA.HTM
Bell and Hayward rank the lowest on the Jazz in Simple Rating, are the bottom 3 (with Al) in net +/-, and are also at the bottom in net production. Now, Hayward probably hasn't played enough to make too much of anything except to see that he's not yet much of an NBA player.
So, just for kicks, I looked at the first 10 teams in alphabetical order to see if I could come up with a team that started one of their worst 2 players based on those 82games stats. I found none. I also found none that had a starter in the bottom 5, except for a team riddled by injuries and Ben Wallace.
What could the decision to start Hayward alongside Bell possible have been based on? Benching Bell is the too obvious to miss move, but benching one of Al or Paul is the next best move. The2 undersized boys are just not getting it done together. Jefferson's numbers on that page are really, really bad.

Switching back from the Jazz and Coug game. Two things I've noticed:
1) BYU basketball is infinitely more enjoyable to watch right now with one caveat (which will be point 2). The Cougs control the tempo, get up and down the floor and at most times can have four (and sometimes five) guys on the floor who can shoot the rock. They also have a guy who is literally a threat to score every time from anywhere on the offensive end of the floor. I don't think the Jazz have that.
2) The only downside is the lack of HD on the Mtn. The picture is horrible. Is this REALLY how we used to watch all sports? Because it seems worse that what I remember growing up. I will be very glad to be done with the High School quality network.
