You are right that Bron Bron would be good for 60 wins in Utah, but you would also get a 2nd round exit with him quitting. At least Deron Williams doesn't quit on the team.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

That is debateable. He is biding his time until his contract runs out. How many times has he dropped the 3 year deal line? At least 3 or 4 that I have heard. Every time things start to get tough he blames the organization for not surrounding him with enough talent, makes a comment about only signing a 3 year deal, or throws a teammate under the bus. It never fails the guy is a douche bag off the court and on it. He is a horrible teammate and awful leader.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostYou are right that Bron Bron would be good for 60 wins in Utah, but you would also get a 2nd round exit with him quitting. Today I was listening to KFAN for a bit and they were talking about the Jazz and Darren in particular. One of the guys shocked me when he noted that when Darren speaks of the team needing to make changes, improve, play smarter, etc...he needs to include himself in that, as many of the problems begin with him. It was interesting to hear because it doesnt seem to be the popular stance to take when it comes to him.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostThat is debateable. I haven't followed the Jazz close enough to know whether Darren throws his teammates under the bus on a regular basis. Is he regarded as a bad teammate? I would have guessed that his teammates really like him, but what do I know.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Not how to correctly spell his name. You're the Tracy McGrady of CUF. I guess that explains why Robin beat you out last year for the CUFFIE.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostToday I was listening to KFAN for a bit and they were talking about the Jazz and Darren in particular. Deron has never called out an individual teammate that I can recall, except for the on-court incident with Gordon Hayward earlier this year. His recent comments were in the first person plural:
Those are the words of a frustrated player after a bad loss. A player who isn't really interested acting happy just because its a media interview. No big deal.“We don’t run hard. We don’t run through. We don’t execute. We don’t screen. We don’t’ know the plays,”

From Locked on Jazz:
Best Overall Unit (27 mins or more)- Deron, CJ, AK, Millsap and Jefferson
This group has played 96 minutes together this season. They have an offensive rating of 132.11 and a defensive rating of 95.24. They have outscored their opponents 251-180.
They have been a great offensive rebounding team with 44% offensive rebounding rate and a poor defensive rebounding team at 68%. They have outrebounded their opponents 114 to 89.
This unit played 6:05 v. New Jersey (outscoring the Nets 13-10) and played 2:00 v. Washington Wizards (5-3)
It hadn’t played in the previous 7 games.Stick with it, Jerry. We'd hate to make any changes unless we are absolutely certain (through some process which seems completely incomprehensible to me, but maybe works for a certain NBA coach) that the change is going to work out. Most Used Line-up – Deron, Raja, AK, , Millsap and Jefferson
This is the starting line-up most often. They have played together for 669 minutes this year and have been outscored by the score of 1338-1383. They are only 2 of the top 10 used 5 man units to be outscored this season. The other is Oklahoma City Thunder starting line-up.
This group has the worst overall rtg (offensive rating – defensive rating) of any of the top 10 used units in the NBA. It is the 2nd worst (Minnesota starters) of any of the top 20 used units in the NBA. They are the third worst of any of the top 30 used units (Minnesota and New Jersey) and they are the 4th worst of any of the top 40 used units in the NBA (add Detroit to Minnesota and New Jersey).
The defensive rebounding of this group has been miserable at 65.6%. Offensive rebounding has been weak as well at 28.3%. They have been outrebounding in total 698 to 626.
This 5 man unit has an offensive rating of 105.19 (pts per 100 possessions) which is the 2nd worst of any of the top 15 used 5 man units in the NBA (Charlotte is 105.18). The defensive rati

I think we know CJ is just trolling and/or trying to get under Mpfunk's skin.Originally posted by Jacob View PostDeron has never called out an individual teammate that I can recall, except for the on-court incident with Gordon Hayward earlier this year. I think the only trouble, however, is that by putting CJ in the starting lineup and Raja on the bench you have zero scoring threat with your 2nd unit. Maybe with Memo getting healthy he can provide some scoring for that group. Right now I'd just like to bury Roger on the bench.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostSubtract Roger Bell and magic happens. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Deron, CJ, AK, Paul, Al is the obvious starting lineup you have to give a try. CJ has played the 2 guard in the past. It's not really any different than the 3 in the Jazz offence anyway. Yet that lineup has only been on the floor for 96 minutes through 42 games? A little over 2 minutes per game? It seems absurd.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostFrom Locked on Jazz:

But of course there is no rule that you must play a 5-man 2nd string together. Few teams play a true second unit for more than a few minutes at a time. And for a few minutes at a time a guy like Price can be effective with energy and hustle. The Heat have to make sure than one of the big 3 is almost always on the floor. The Jazz could do the same with the big 3 being Deron, Millsap and Jefferson. AK is also effective as a 4 with the second group.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI think the only trouble, however, is that by putting CJ in the starting lineup and Raja on the bench you have zero scoring threat with your 2nd unit. Watson, Price, CJ, AK, Fess/Elson is a hyper-active defensive unit that will run and score.
Sloan has not been very consistent with his rotations this year and you never know whether he will go with Price or not. Gordo or not. Fess or Elson, etc. So It is even more strange that he hasn't touched the starting lineup.

It's awesome that Utah's starting SG is limited to making a play by trying to bait opponents into stupid fouls, trying to get away with touching a guy on the elbow while he's shooting, or holding up an entire offensive set as he tries to draw a charge while setting a screen.
I hate that idiot almost as much as the idiot coach who loves him.
