But they weren't great. The Jazz had to do something. And what has it cost them? maybe they lose in the first round instead of the second round this year. IOW, losing boozer cost them nothing.

Pure comedy hearing CJ talk about having to get tougher, bumping guys off their line, getting more physical on both ends of the court, and then complaining about not playing more as if he'd most certainly be the guy getting physical on the court if he was just given the chance.

Last night was the first "full" game ive watched since the Heat played in Utah. And it seemed it wasn't enoug to really catch my interest. More of a game on in the background. They just don't seem to have enough passion right now.

Having looked at the box scores it almost seems like Hayward is warranting more minutes, and potentially a move to the starting lineup. Something has to change right now because the chemistry doesn't seem to be there.

Another bit of comedy last night was watching Raja dribble like Jackson Emery around the perimeter, headed left but using his right hand to dribble.

Hayward's full game compliments the starters so much better than Bell's extremely limited game does. I worry that Hayward would defer to much if on the court with the starters, though. Last night Millsap got stuck with the ball on the wing, and Hayward sat there and pointed to Deron at the top of the key instead of getting open and taking the ball.

No, they weren't, and you're probably right (ie., the playoff fortunes of that team were similar to this one). The thing that is frustrating is watching the team turn over half the roster and still have basically the same exact problems it did before. Maybe they had to do something, but they did something that basically had the same result. No C, a roster with four PF's that they're trying to plug in at another positions (Jefferson and Memo at the 5, AK at the 3), not enough shooters, etc. But this time they've created an entirely new problem by not even having a 2nd legit scorer on the roster to help carry the load.

I think the problem here is they're not necessarily stinking up the joint. They're playing pretty similarly to the last group, which means a 4-6 seed, a first of second round exit, and no meaningful pick in the draft. Only right now, it's going to take them more moves to get what they need on the roster.

Fucking Roger Bell. Part of Deron's problem lately is that teams are using bigger, more physical defensive players to wear him down. Instead of being guarded by PG's, he's being guarded by the Wes Matthews and OJ Mayo type because teams are wholly unafraid to put a PG on Roger. You put a SG on Deron and we should be able to create a mistmatch with our SG, but we can't, because he's a fucking retard.

A lot of people are talking about starting Hawyard in his place, but I'm not sure he's there yet. His play has definitely been encouraging, but I think his mentality is still not to the point where he's assertive enough to go out and take control of mistmatch. To me he looks like he's still just trying to find his spots, take limited shots, and not upset anyone because he's the new guy out there.

We could always try CJ, but that guy is about as up and down as any player I've ever seen. That said, he can't at least get rolling a bit and score points in bunches to the point that maybe teams wouldn't be able to take advantage of the situation above.

True, but the bloom is off the rose. They have not competed against the upper tier for over a month, and have feasted on the bloated underbelly of the NBA. MG is right 4-7 seed, 1st round dismissal. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
