Sap's not playing tonight? I didn't think that little injury would keep him out.

One glaring defitiency: getting to the line. Al and his 'Weazy' has cost the Jazz."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

My thoughts on tonight's game: BYU won in the Thomas & Mack, so I don't really give a damn that the Jazz lost.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

Sounds like Evans is in line for a guaranteed contract. Good for him. I'm not as high on him as other people, but I think he could be a solid bench/energy guy.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

IMO Evans won't amount to much unless his mind catches up with his physical abilities. I also don't think he's going to be given the same window of opportunity to prove himself as other 2nd round players the Jazz have found so he needs to find his niche quickly.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostSounds like Evans is in line for a guaranteed contract. I think that he might be better served in the long run by becoming a defensive presence. His length and jumping ability, not to mention his asking price, was I'm sure the reason the Jazz selected him in the first place. I think they may have seen 2003-04 AK helpside defender as his potentional landing spot. Or they may have had 12 leftover players on a list and picked him. Who knows. Right now however, his footwork on both ends is atrocious and especially on defense. If he has any chance of sticking he needs to get much stronger and get position more quickly.
I do love his enthusiasm and ability to get the crowd going though."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

That's how I feel. If he could turn into a version of the Birdman I would be absolutely fine with that. I don't think his body is quite big enough to get there though.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostSounds like Evans is in line for a guaranteed contract. Good for him. I can't shake the idea that the Jazz should be trying to get Kevin Martin. I don't know what Houston would realistically accept, but when I get a minute, I think i'll tinker with ESPN's trade machine and see if I can find a realistic scenario that works.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostThat's how I feel. Martin lit the Blazers up last night, and my son and I had a conversation about what the Blazers would have to give up to get him. He's got one of the purest shots I've seen in watching the NBA for 42 years.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostI can't shake the idea that the Jazz should be trying to get Kevin Martin. Hollinger ranks NBA benches. Needless to say to the Jazz don't fare well.
