  • Jazz have been much better since Trey came back, going 4-8. If they keep that up, they'll end up with 24 wins. That would have been bad enough for the 4th worst record last year. With as many teams tanking this year, they'll have to be worse than that. The probably need to be in the teens to guarantee a top five pick.

Surprisingly enough the last time a truly tank worthy prospect was in the draft, the two worst teams (Denver and Cleveland) finished tied for the worst record with 17 wins. I think this year will be lower.

I had no idea Garnett had fallen so hard. Crazy that it won't be long before he'll have spent half his life in the NBA.

      • It could be worse than Ty.

Brad Stevens is an amazing coach and it’s killing the Boston Celtics

We need the Tank Commander for now. Hopefully next year there's a good hire to be made.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

          • 10. Trey Burke | Utah Jazz
As ESPN.com's David Thorpe likes points out, Burke was the best amateur player in the nation as a small guard, and that's not something to gloss over. His numbers so far aren't eye-popping, but he's affected Utah in the most important statistic: wins. When Burke was out with an injury, the Jazz lost 11 of their first 12 games, scoring a woeful 92 points per 100 possessions, worst in the league. Since his return, Utah is 4-8 and scoring 100.9 points per 100 possessions (19th).

Last night makes it 5-8 with consecutive road wins. I'm getting a little worried about the tank.

Might as well send Kanter there to completely crush his psyche.

Kid could probably use some weaker competition to build his confidence. He looks dismal.

                      • Watching Bledose and Dragic play so well together makes me wonder about Burke and Smart being paired together on the Jazz. Smart is definitely big enough to guard opposing 2's, and in a PG league you are able to ensure you always have a good PG on the court. If you don't have a major mismatch when the two are on the court together, not having to go to a lousy back-up PG can be a huge advantage when one guy takes a rest.

                        • 1. Jabari Parker, F, Duke Blue Devils
                          6-foot-8, 235 pounds

The Blue Devils had the week off.

Comparison: Glenn Robinson. “He’s a less athletic version of the Big Dog. Can score in so many different ways.” -- NBA executive

This week: Monday vs. Gardner Webb; Thursday vs. UCLA at Madison Square Garden Stats: 22.1 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 47 percent 3-point shooting | Previous rank: 1
                          4. Andrew Wiggins, SF, Kansas Jayhawks
                          6-8, 200 pounds

Wiggins was tremendous in the Jayhawks' loss in Gainesville, going for a career-high 26 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. However, he was a nonfactor in their victory over New Mexico, finishing with 11 points on 3-of-11 shooting.

Comparison: Rudy Gay. “He’s a long, athletic wing who is a decent shooter, but doesn’t have that killer instinct. Rudy’s never been a star, and I could see that being the case with this kid as well.” -- NBA executive
                          http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/jeff...n/post?id=2679

Do we want less athletic Glenn Robinson or Rudy Gay? Tough call!

gorbert performed well when he played. corbin is just playing biedras (sp?) for whatever reason. no reason not to play gorbert 30 mins a game.

Wiggins was the next LeBron, then McGrady, now a lesser Gay being ranked behind Aaron Gordon who gets a comp to Faried. If his star falls just a bit more the only thing it will guarantee is that he'll immediately shift over to being considered underrated, and the comparisons will start getting more and more favorable. The scouting pendulum.
