No Favors, no Marv, Kanter and Jeremy both foul out, and Go Bear still only manages 2 mins.

Next up for the Jazz, Portland again. Blazers lost tonight on a game winning shot with 1.9 left. They will be extra motivated Monday night. Since the Blazers won over the Jazz by 32 Friday night, I'm thinking the Jazz will be tough at home and only lose by 22 Monday night.

What happened to Burks? I was darn near ready to give up on the kid, and then these last 7 games have probably been the longest stretch of quality play we've seen from him in his career. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I turned on the game with about six minutes to play in the 4th quarter with game technically in doubt and after scoring 20 points in 24 minutes on 8-11 FGs, leading the team in scoring, he wasn't in the damn game. WTH? We can joke about the tank, but Corbin is trying to win, yet he doesn't have the game's best player (perhaps the best player in the last two weeks) in the game down the stretch.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostWhat happened to Burks? And Biedrins minutes over GoBear is on the second worst decision he made this game. Corbin never ceases to amaze.Originally posted by Jacob View PostMaybe if we all put our heads together, we can come up with a single legitimate reason to play Biedrins instead of Gobert.
Oh well. Not like we didn't know it would happen. Lots of other things to worry about.I'm like LeBron James.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I don't blame Rush. He has to be better than Dick Jefferson at everything, right?Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostCorbin is going to have some extra Twitter punishment to hand out then. Burke's mom and dad took to Twitter again to criticize the coaching, and Brandon Rush is complaining about no minutes.I'm like LeBron James.

Playing Jefferson is one thing. Lowest TS% of his career, 3rd lowest eFG%, lowest PER, lowest ORtg...sure. But the team has had injures, and Corbin can't just turn the team over to the young players in total and relinquish any pull he has over the team, can he? So Jefferson will have a spot in the rotation I guess.
But 30 mpg? Starting every game? Having his minutes and rotation and starting slot as secure as even Hayward and Favors? No NBA coach can be that stupid. I just don't believe it.
And yet it goes even deeper than that. It wasn't even just Jefferson taking Burks' 4th quarter minutes on a night when Burks was torching the Blazers, coming on the heels of several strong games for Burks before last night. The game wasn't the first time that this guy at the tail end of his career, playing the worst basketball of his career, actually had multiple sets throughout the game run with the intent to get him the ball and a shot. What kind of dumb ass coach calls a play to get the sub-replacement talent a shot, and then does it again and again?
Time to stop the charade. Fire him, and do it immediately. Might as well make Burke the coach. His return did more to get his teammates playing hard than anything the coaches have been able to do this year. And since Corbin has consistently proven to offer nothing in scheme on either side of the floor, and that he can't handle rotations or minutes well, there is absolutely no reason to keep him around if his players don't respect him enough to play hard for him.
And just for fun: Opponent's FG% at the rim - Gobert 45%, Kanter 52%, Favors 52%, Biedrins 60%Last edited by BGRTHNUMEGO; 12-10-2013, 11:25 AM.
