I can agree with that quote while maintaining that KOC has done a piss-poor job of drafting and acquiring players over the past 5 years. At least until Minny decided to give away Jefferson, and the only other offer on the table was Dallas, who wasn't giving up draft picks and was requiring Minny to take back salary.

I acknowledge that it is very difficult to put a good NBA team together. But that has more to do with the constraints of the CBA than the difficulty in finding a good GM. Probably the best think KOC has done is in avoiding a lot of blunders.
