He doesn't defend, he's a mediocre rebounder, doesn't create his shot much, as a passer - well, he doesn't pass - and I imagine he probably has the most trade value on the team.Originally posted by UtahJazzFan88 View PostWhy would you want to get rid of Millsap? He's been the best player in both of the games. Get rid of Jefferson + CJ + Harris for Kyle Lowry + Hasheem Thabeet.
You could say most or all of that about Jefferson too, but you can actually go to Jefferson in the post and he can create his own offense from there and command a double team. He was the one guy Denver had to adjust to defend tonight. Once Jefferson got going early on, they were doubling him nearly every time he touched the ball for the remainder of the game. He was the only threat. Right now, with Corbin's offense looking as pathetic as it does, you ned a guy you can go to down low who is a reliable scorer.Last edited by smokymountainrain; 12-28-2011, 10:12 PM.I'm like LeBron James.

I thought tonight was a perfect microcosm of Jefferson's NBA career: flashes of great individual offense spoiled by absolutely shoddy defense and poor decision making vs. the double-team.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostHe doesn't defend, he's a mediocre rebounder, doesn't create his shot much, as a passer - well, he doesn't pass - and I imagine he probably has the most trade value on the team.

Millsap is actually a better defender than Jefferson is, he makes an effort, but he just doesn't have the length to defend. Millsap puts an effort to defend, and would be a nice Sixth Man off the bench over the length of his career.Last edited by UtahJazzFan88; 12-28-2011, 10:20 PM.

He definitely seems disinterested in being part of another rebuilding team. It's interesting to contrast what Big Al and Harris did during the lockout.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostWhat happened to the Devin Harris that used to play defense? Damn, dude didn't even make an effort again Lawson.
Harris doesn't look like he wants to be here at all.
I know Harris had a baby during the lockout, but it speaks volumes that he didn't spend much time at P3. Whereas Jefferson busted his ass for the Jazz.

I would have liked to seen Jefferson work on his post game and other actual basketball moves more, but I agree. I'm not a big fan of Jefferson and think he should be traded this year, but I will commend him for at least working hard in the offseason and putting in work.Originally posted by SloanHater View PostHe definitely seems disinterested in being part of another rebuilding team. Jefferson has one of the best post games in the nba. He is a taller version of Z-bo. He was an all-star the second half of last year.
The difference is the Jazz aren't running the same flex offense.

Always something to work on, I see too many pump/shot fakes, want to see him work on new post moves, because Al was getting dominated by Pau Gasol because he wasn't biting on his shot fakes. I agree it's one of the best, but he doesn't do enough to defer the ball in double teams, he doesn't do other stuff that doesn't show up in the box score. They were 8-20 when he was an "All-Star" like you specified, obviously it wasn't all his fault, but even in Minnesota which is still a flawed case a little bit, they were a bad team.Originally posted by SloanHater View Post

Michael Redd is signing with the Suns. Good fit for him he will not be required to move from the corner and Nash can drive and dish.
Also said in his workout today he was winded after about 45 minutes and the Suns said he is at least 2 weeks away from playing.
First contact workout since April.*Banned*

I'm thinking that this does not bode well for the Michael Redd Experiment.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostMichael Redd is signing with the Suns.

I'm going to go ahead and join you in the blame Corbin mode. Wins and losses aren't what matter to this team right now. What matters is developing the Jazz's young talent. These numbers have me right with you in blame Corbin mode.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostCorbin has Burks completely out of the rotation for this shit? Howard, Bell and Miles might be the three worst wings in the league and these are the guys who are keeping Burks on the bench?
Favors picks up two quick fouls and sits the rest of the half? Better save him for the 4th quarter when the Jazz are down by 30.
The Jazz might be the worst team in the league and I'm in full "blame Corbin" mode.
Bell: 22 mpg
Favors: 17.5 mpg
Burks: 7.5 mpg
That alone tells me all I need to know about Corbin. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression
