After scoring 38 in the first half, Jazz dump 35 in the 3rd. Guess they're back in it.
Josh Howard and CJ Miles in now. It's like they're having a crappy shot competition.
"Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."
Always so fun to see the Jazz get blown out against a shitty team and Burks not even get in the game.
The only justification to not playing either Favors, Kanter, Hayward or Burks significant minutes is that the Jazz are a better team when they don't play. In Burks case, there is no evidence to suggest that would be the case. It's unacceptable to keep him on the bench at this point in the season. So frustrating.
Paul Millsap spent the game being guarded by Steve Novak, Landry Fields, and Bill Walker, and totaled 9 points and 5 turnovers. He came in averaging 17 and 9. Why do people covering the Jazz keep trying to push him for the all-star team?
It takes a special Jazz PG to make me happy to see him getting lit by Lin.
On a positive note, CJ was pretty lousy on defense. At least we know his playing time will evaporate as he struggles.

Considering Lin also lit up Deron Williams, he might actually have talent and not be a fluke.
Let's not forget that Earl Watson played absolutely terrible at PG as well.

I missed the game. Sounds like a good one! Nothing has really changed from the beginning of the season. We still need to trade the same players. Paul Millsap did not suddenly become an all start. The Jazz are regressing to the mean, and they haven't even got to the roughest parts of the schedule yet.

I don't know how to react. I don't get overly upset because they are meeting my expectations. Unfortunately, those expectations included the conclusion that the young guys wouldn't get enough playing time as long as too many mediocre-to-good veterans were on the team.

Add into the mix the issue of no youth at the PG and you have a recipe for disaster. So not only are the same veteran players getting most of the PT, you don't even have a young PG languishing on the bench as is true at all other positions.
No es bueno.
"Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault
"Once I seen the trades go down and the other guys signed elsewhere," he said, "I knew it was my time now." - Derrick Favors

I think we would all love to see the younger players getting more minutes, but I think that, overall, Corbin has done a pretty good job at mixing in the young with the old:
Hayward: 28 minutes a game (about right)
Favors: 21 minutes a game (like to see it around 28 right now)
Burks: 11 minutes a game (like to see it in the 15 minute range)
Kanter: 14 minutes a game (about right)
For 4 guys that are all under the age of 22, thats some pretty good action.
