Calderon, I think would be a great choice, but with Burke being as small as he is, it might be nice to get a bigger guy like Jack or Billups. Billups seems like he'd be an excellent choice to mentor Burke - giving Burke the starting nod and playing about 25-28 minutes and Billups about 20-23 minutes.
Jack will be 30 this season. Not terribly young anymore.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I want a veteran PG to come in to help Favors and Kanter as much as I want him to help Burke, and Calderon is a great fit because of his shooting, his SnR play, and because he's always been focused on team first and his shots last. I don't know what Utah's limits would be in terms of how much they could give him in year 1, but cut him a huge check this year, cut it in half next year, and then let him walk when all of the extensions are kicking in and Burke is playing 35 mpg.
After a "dream" draft, that would be a dream FA signing. My only concern would be having two smallish PGs. Outside of that, like you say, he's is perfect for this team at this time. Excellent shooter, low turnover numbers and thinks pass first. I wouldn't be pissed to see the Jazz even overpay for him if they have to.

But why be concerned about having small PGs? Andrew Wiggins thinks it is a good idea.

With Burke and Gobert factored in, and counting Murphy and McNeal, the Jazz are at $29 M on payroll right now. They've got a ton of money they have to spend. I wouldn't care if they gave Calderon $10 M this year to make sure he comes in. I think he's perfect to set the offense up for all of the young guys to progress, and to help Burke develop a mature offensive game.

By the way, Jazz fans, allow me to blow your mind: get ready to like Neto more than Burke. Go ahead and favorite this

Since when did 6'3" 211 lbs become smallish for a point?

Never. I didn't realize he was 6'3". I had him pegged for about 6'1".

A future second, IIRC. Sorry, no link, it's all I got.

                  • Heat get DJ Stephens and Myck Kabongo to go to their summer league team, both guys I wanted to play for Utah.

I can see Stephens making that team.

                        • Alex Jensen is officially a member of the Jazz staff.

Canton Charge Head Coach Alex Jensen was named the 2012-13 NBA Development League Dennis Johnson Coach of the Year, the league office announced today. The award is voted on by all 16 NBA D-League Head Coaches.
The Charge finished the season as the top scoring defense in the NBA D-League by allowing just 96.0 points per game and the top perimeter defense by limiting opponents to .303 shooting from three-point range. Canton held opponents under 100 points in 27 games and under 90 points 17 times, posting 21-6 and 15-2 records in those instances respectively.

Stands to reason Jensen's teams would be good defensively. If he can bring some of that coaching and mentality to the Jazz, he will be a valuable addition.
