They did before the new CBA, but the Miller's were one of the main advocates to make some big changes with the new CBA so they couldn't lose millions every year. That is an interesting topic to find out some of the revenue numbers from last year.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostIIRC, they lose millions every year.Last edited by UtahJazzFan88; 02-08-2013, 09:24 PM.

Getting swept in the first round of the playoffs is still worth about $10 million for the franchise which is the difference between making money and losing it for this franchise.Originally posted by UtahJazzFan88 View PostThey did before the new CBA, but the Miller's were one of the main advocates to make some big changes with the new CBA so they couldn't lose millions every year. I suggested that the Jazz needed to make the playoffs to stay viable and maybe that motivated decisions. I was told that wasn't true because they missed the playoffs last decade and were still in SLC. I guess I had wrongly assumed that things might have changed economically from 10 years ago.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostGetting swept in the first round of the playoffs is still worth about $10 million for the franchise which is the difference between making money and losing it for this franchise.

I just won't support this team financially until I see them do something different. Al Jefferson is not a draw to me. I want to see a young team come together and gel over time. Not a bunch of guys standing around while Jefferson lumbers around, and then gets scored on at the other end.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostGetting swept in the first round of the playoffs is still worth about $10 million for the franchise which is the difference between making money and losing it for this franchise. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

Yep. A buddy of mine works in the legal department for LHM. He doesn't do much regarding the Jazz but does see the finances for the organization. Making the playoffs is the difference between making and losing money.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostGetting swept in the first round of the playoffs is still worth about $10 million for the franchise which is the difference between making money and losing it for this franchise."You interns are like swallows.
