And that's why I'd be ok moving on to the next option. I think Millsap has some trade value because of his decent contract. An expiring contract of $10 M obviously opens up some doors. Even with it being a weak draft, I don't think you trade a solid starting PF, $10 M expiring contract, and a #6 pick for someone that's never been an all-star and is going to be making $14 M/year.

But I probably put more value on that expiring contract than is probably true. When you've got a contract like that you've got to get lucky and hope some team has something of value to give back and is desperate to cut salary. Philly might be in that position because of Young and Hawes hitting free agency.

Mr. Favors made the 2nd team (All Rookies). I like that, especially considering that he averaged under 20 minutes a game for the year. That is pretty impressive.

Not so impressive when you look at the sad list of the guys he had to beat out. Not so impressive when you consider he was the 3rd pick of the draft and the second team only puts him in the top 10 of all rookies.

Do they do these teams the same way they do MVP-type lists? I.e. only one center on the first team, two forwards, etc.?

It's plain to see that he's not even the top rated player on the 2nd team. No way he was voted ahead of Monroe.
