Biyombo moves up to #8 on DX prospect board after the Hoop Summit. Video here:

Also, Jimmer at 17 on the big board.

Looks like Barnes, Henson, and Zeller are all headed back to NC.

The Jazz might be lucky to get someone like Biyombo at 6, let alone 12.

We are going to learn a lot about Barnes next year.

Teams will be shopping their picks left and right. I have a feeling many players in this years draft with come with tons of consonants in their names. (Europeans)

Jimmer is going to have an Araujo-esque rise up the lottery boards.

Surely some guys that are on the fence are now leaning to jumping into the draft with so many guys choosing to stay around. Brandon Knight entering his name as a potential top 5 guy at a premium position would help.

The 2012 draft is going to be nuts.

Unless the new CBA requires 2 years in college.

Do you really think that makes it in? I got the feeling (based upon discussions I've read by analysts) that if any movement was to take place in age restriction it would be in removing the 1-year-removed requirement altogether. As a college basketball fan I would love that though, if true.

I hope he doesn't play for the Jazz next season. Maybe NJ would take him for Travis Outlaw and a bottle of Hennessey?

The players' association has nothing to gain from fighting the owners on a 2 year limit or a 1 year limit. There's no way the rule goes away, IMO. It is just a bargaining chip right now that the players are holding onto so that they can say they are compromising. I also saw a tweet yesterday about several NBA execs who wouldn't be surprised if the rule were changed to 2 years. Though I see no benefit to the kids who are forced to go to college for 2 years when they are not smart enough i.e. Derrick Rose was simply not advanced enough educationally to be qualified for college and I doubt the 1 year did him any good.

So I was killing time the other day and ran across some old vids of the Jazz in the playoffs in the 90s. Good stuff but bittersweet. Watching some of those reminds me of why I used to love the NBA. The players gave a damn. The game was physical.

Karl Malone and Charles Barkley jawing back and forth. The mailman swinging elbows. Stockton dropping f-bombs and giving it all he had. Man I miss those days.

                                Borrowed from a Jazzfanz thread:

Here you have Ostertag losing it, Jerry freaking out (he really did lose his edge over the years, man he used to be a ball of rage) good entertainment.

The NBA has evolved into a much different league. No defense, no physical play, no personality. Casual basketball. I miss the NBA I grew up with.
