Basketball isn't baseball. Stats in basketball can be very deceiving, in baseball (if you are using the right stats) they are not deceiving and pretty much give you a spot on evaluation of a player. Of course, I'm talking primarily about batting and pitching stats in baseball, defensive stats are much more similar to basketball stats.
