    • Wow...can't believe we stole one in the Denver.

6 straight ft's all with the game on the line. Very impressive.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

        • I give CJ a lot of crap, but he proved me wrong in a big way. I fully expected him to miss those free throws.

          Huge win by the Jazz.

I know what he's saying. There are lots of names in the league who can put up 15-17 a night, but when the game's on the line in the final two minutes? They turn into Casper.

Just watched the highlights. That screen was ridiculous. Funk should be bitching about that one in his moving screens thread.

                • Just read that Kal El is 30/40 from 3 in the 4th quarter this year. If true that is insane.

                  • Since the series now has 3 weeks off, the Jazz will be good and rested. This thing is turning their way.

                      • Nugents crying about the refs:

"We had some bad calls down the stretch but you have to figure out a way to fight through that, play through that," Nuggets center Johan Petro said.
"That's just part of the game," Nuggets acting coach Adrian Dantley said. "They went to the rim. Williams got 18 free throws, that's part of the game.
Nobody is mentioning that if you subtract the 4 fts given to Utah from Denver intentionally fouling to extend the game, the Nugents actually shot 44 fts to Utah's 43.

                        • Also, the ESPN article claims that CJ definitely stepped out of bounds. Was there a definitive angle shown on this that I missed? Because the one I saw on TNT was hardly conclusive.

Denver is 1-11 all-time when Anthony fouls out and he was whistled for his sixth foul with 25 seconds left and the Nuggets down by a point.

                          [...]

The officials blew the call, however. C.J. Miles stepped out of bounds before Anthony fouled him, but the crew didn't see it and Miles made both free throws for a 110-107 lead.

I HATE complaints about the refs, HATE, HATE, HATE it. But if I was interviewing Petro when he made that comment, this is what I would have asked him...

Petro, are you talking about bad calls for both teams down the stretch? These are the ones at the end that I can remember (can't recall if #1 came before #2):

                            1. Booz pass to Millsap under the basket ready to dunk, Melo grabs Millsap's upper-arm/shoulder causing Paul to turn the ball over to Denver. Advantage: Denver

                            2. JR Smith knocks the ball out of Korvers hands and out of bounds, but refs give the ball to Denver. However Korver could also have been called for an offensive foul against Nene on the same play. Advantage: Even

                            3. Melo is draped all over CJ on the in-bounds pass (foul could have been called on Melo right away, ref lets it go), CJ steps out of bounds (ref confused and surprised at himself that he hasn't whistled Melo for his sixth foul on the in-bounds, and Melo continues to play rough defense therefore making the ref focus on what Melo is doing rather than noticing that CJ stepped out of bounds. Ref eventually calls Melo for the foul. Advantage: Jazz

The FSN cameras got it, he for sure stepped out of bounds a good 2 inches.

Was that before or after the 1st 2nd or 3rd Carmello foul on the play?
