Just curious why this year we are cheering for the Jazz to win that 8th spot and sure destruction from the Warriors, yet a couple of years ago the true and living fans were annoyed at the team trying to make that 8th spot?

Because a few years ago the team was in NBA hell and the fans wanted a chance at a high pick. It's best in the NBA to either be great or to be bad. In between just assures you marginal draft picks that won't get you to either place quickly.

People want this team to make the playoffs because we haven't been in a while and this group needs the experience to continue improving. A few years ago Ty Corbin had no interest in developing the young talent and wanted to play marginal talent like Al Jefferson and Millsap to save his job, and the fans wanted to develop the young talent.

I don't necessarily disagree, but the Jazz were never going to develop their younger players with those two in town and Corbin coaching. When I say marginal, I mean guys that you are never going to be able to progress with regarding a deep playoff run. Guys like Jefferson and Millsap are older, but make you good enough to compete for the 8th seed or just miss the playoffs, and that's the bad spot I was talking about in the NBA, not bad enough to get a great pick and not good enough to win something. I felt that was the ceiling of those teams. I think this team can progress and do more with these guys. I'd like to think with a coach like Snyder, the Jazz might develop guys enough to do better than that. This group is young and has more upside than that group. Gobert and Favors have more upside than those two, and they actually play good defense as well. If the Jazz are going to do something, they'll have to do it by playing like the Detroit team that won the title in the middle of last decade, and neither Jefferson or Millsap defend well enough to play like that team.

I am really dissapointed. I have become a Jazz fan. I like how hard these guys play and as far as I know they are all high character people I appreciate them representing the state the way they do.

Big picture I really believe without the injuries we would have been a lock for the playoffs. In an 82 game season you really can't count on making the playoffs because you don't have any injuries.

To me the glaring reason we will miss the playoffs is the game against the Clippers. Sure there were probably other games we should of won, but that one for me is as hard to explain as Spieth's 7 on number 12 at the Masters.
