Donovan Mitchell is the most likable Jazz player I can recall since ....um..... Adrian Dantley? Though I know the answer already, I will still ask: Would you trade DM for Ben Simmons straight across?

that really is a tough question. Simmons ceiling somewhere between Magic and LeBron if he can learn to shoot - and tbh, his shot doesn't look broken. LeBron is the 2nd or 3rd best player in NBA history, Magic is the 10th or so best player. Unless i'm forgetting somebody, I don't think there is a small guard in between.

having said that, that is still a fairly big IF. Mitchell is already there, just has to improve in a few minor aspects. improve his 3pt accuracy and his ability to get to the line. he does those things, the sky is the limit if he can stay healthy.
            I'm like LeBron James.

Plus you already know he plays really well in Quinn's system and with his teammates. No guarantee Simmons fits as well as Donovan has so far.

ultimately I would have hard time trading Mitchell for simmons because of his head - Mitchell is so unique in terms of his attitude, his intelligence and his overall demeanor. Simmons came in with a reputation as a bit of a head case - though hasn't really shown that side this year.

                    • I love DM, but Ben Simmons if he remains healthy will be an all-time top 10 player.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

                      • There's some speculation that the league is looking at giving OKC a boost in Game 5 by suspending Westbrook.

                          Giving OKC a boost?

Per 100 possessions in this series, OKC is -15 with Westbrook playing vs around +13 when he's on the bench. I was kind of joking, but not completely.

Got it. Yeah, he hasn't exactly been great for OKC this series.

He hasn't been great but the alternative is Fat Felton. Of course OKC is better off with Westbrook playing.
