As soon as I saw Gobert come to guard the inbound out of the time out, I knew Boston would go right into the paint. They did and the won as Gobert couldn't get back quickly enough. Sure, Boston executed well, but it was a decision by Synder that made it easier. Oh well. I still love what Snyder is doing and the progress of the team.

I have before freely admitted I am no BB expert. My expertise is politics.

Snyder said Gobert should have been up further on the inbounder. Maybe he was just making an excuse for the call he made. I know I have heard Bronco talk about the coaching was fine, problem was execution.

Gobert should have been protecting the paint. The call to put him on the ball was awful.

It wasn't awful, it was a risk. Given Go-Bear's length it was an ok call. Smart looked him off up court and made the pass at the rim. Really that's all. Snyder maybe should have thought about changing the strategy following the timeout though and Gobert should have shaded the inside. Either way, W-L in this season isn't as important as learning from mistakes.

I wasn't watching. I saw on gamecast that Boston had the ball with a second left down 1. I thought "Well, they won't get anything at the rim so they'll have to hit a jump shot." Nope. Both bigs were on the perimeter leaving a 7 footer for a lob at the rim. Ha ha. Nice coaching.

This is a fun team to watch right now. The defense is just a thing of beauty to watch. Hayward and Favors contracts look like bargains right now. This is a playoff team with a bunch of cap room next season.
