The price to trade up just went up significantly. 1320 was talking yesterday about Utah offering #5, #23, next year's first, and Burks to get into the top 2.

Cavs reportedly now want to work about Exum. Cavs just might be stupid enough to pick Exum with the first pick.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostProbably the opposite. The price to get Jabari just went up.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

After last year's pick you can't put anything past them, but I still can't see them going Exum over Parker/Wiggins.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostCavs reportedly now want to work about Exum. That is the Cavs are targeting Jabari Parker that it is less likely if the Cavs are interested in drafting him. Alternately, it could just mean the price is higher.Originally posted by Maximus View Postthat the jazz wont even be able to get vonleh or exum at this point? As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

If Parker/Wiggins really go 1 and 2, then the real wild card is the 76ers. They apparently really wanted one of those two, and with them off the board who knows what direction they go. They could possibly trade out, and maybe since their desired picks are off the board that lowers the trade value for getting their slot. I have to think it would because at this point being at 3 no longer looks as attractive.Originally posted by Maximus View Postthat the jazz wont even be able to get vonleh or exum at this point? So Russell...what do you love about music? Could work out well for Milwaukee. They reportedly really like Exum. Could they get 3 and 10 out of Philly to let the 76ers get the guy they want? Then Milwaukee grabs Exum at 3 and Stauskas or McD at 10 to get the wing scoring they need. Exum, Giannis, Henson, and Sanders would form a really solid defense around Stauskus or McD.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostIf Parker/Wiggins really go 1 and 2, then the real wild card is the 76ers. Same. I think the rumor was #5, #23, next year's first, and Burks.Originally posted by Jacob View PostThat's a deal I'd make right now to get Parker or Wiggins.
The team has been acquiring assets for exactly that kind of move. Unless Snyder proves to be some kind of coaching genius, Utah doesn't need to bring in more players like Burks and Burke. They need a star.
Houston got James Harden for Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, two late firsts and a second. Get something done, Lindsey.

This is all great news for the Jazz. If Embiid is around at #5, I would absolutely roll the dice with him. You're talking about getting a potentially top tier guy and only expending the #5 pick - that is completely worth the risk in my opinion.
If Embiid is snatched up before 5, then we are in the same position we were earlier.
Bring on Supersized Luc Mbah a Moute!

I say get Westbrook. They've got Jackson to take over at PG. Utah has cap space to also absorb Perkins' last year of his deal to give them cap relief. When possible, send OKC Hayward, Marvin, Burke, and next year's first for Westbrook and Perkins. Draft Vonleh at #5, use #23 on a shooter (Hairston), use #36 on a Euro stash, bring over Neto to pair with Garrett to back-up Westbrook.
Get a star who is under contract for 3 years and who plays hard every game.

I don't think OKC could trade Westbrook, even if they thought it was a good deal. The only question for them should be, will this move win us a championship within the next 2 years. If they trade Westbrook and they don't win, they may lose Durant.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostI say get Westbrook. They've got Jackson to take over at PG.
