Hmm...I don't remember that. ESPN did an article last year ranking interior defenders, and there was this bit:
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story...rior-defendersAnd here's a quick rundown of our league leaders in the six factors considered for the rankings:
• Regularized Adjusted Plus-Minus: Kevin Garnett (plus-5.5 points per 100 possessions for the defensive component of the statistic)
• Points per isolation allowed: Larry Sanders (0.32 points per isolation allowed)
• Defensive isolation usage: Enes Kanter (3.2 isolations per 100 possessions)
• Overall points per play allowed: Ronny Turiaf (0.62 points per play allowed)
• Steals-plus-blocks percentage: Larry Sanders (10.65 percent)
• Team opponent interior PER: Los Angeles Clippers (14.8)
I attributed that to the fact that he was able to use his strength to push guys off the block or force them out of position to the extent they would give up the ball and not use a possession against him. He doesn't even seem to be doing that very well this year, though I think his strength is clearly down this year relative to last because of his injury. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Burke is attempting 12.7 fg's per game this month, 6 of which are 3pters (making 28% of those, btw). So far this month he has shot 1 FT in 188 total minutes. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

In his latest interview, Lindsey said the Jazz are happy with their young "3 and 4" (SF and PF, not talking number of guys). So I'm assuming he's referencing Hayward and Favors. I'm not sure Hayward has logged more than 100 minutes at SF this year, and Favors has played so little with Kanter that I don't think Favors has many more than that at the 4.
So good to see the front office and coaching staff on the same page still.

The Burke-Burks-Hayward-Favors-Kanter line up has played a total of 32 minutes together. Inexplicable.

Here are your rumors:Originally posted by Jacob View PostWhere are the trade rumors? Come on front office!
What the Jazz want to move (Jefferson, Rush, Biedrins) nobody is buying.
What teams are interested in (Burks, Hayward, Favors, Burke, Kanter, Gobert) the Jazz don't want to move.
Teams over the cap (New York, Brooklyn, Miami, both LA teams) either don't have the strong desire, nor the assets to make a move to make it worth either teams while.
The rest of the players (Marvin, Evans and to a slight degree, Kanter) could be moved. But teams that are looking to add pieces (San Antonio, Memphis, etc.) aren't willing to pay what the Jazz would like to make a move (a combination of expiring deals, young talents/assets or picks).
Translation: Don't count on anything happening.

Seems about right. Lowe had a column the other day (I think it was him) that was pretty depressing for a team in the Jazz situation. His speculation was that if the Jazz wanted to actually get something for Jefferson, they'd have to pair someone like Kanter to get anything back.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostHere are your rumors:

Clips are way over the cap and into the lux tax. This is the problem with the whole scenario. A team that could use Jefferson's help for depth is going to be a contender, so we're talking about almost exclusively teams that are over the cap and have no flexibility to deal. Check out the Clips roster and I don't even know that you can come up with a scenario that makes sense and matches Dick's $11mm. Then of course teams with flexibility likely have no interest in acquiring Dick. Marv is a little easier since he's at $7.5mm, but I think the odds of landing a worthwhile deal for either seem long at this point.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI read an article earlier today about the Clippers wanting frontcourt help. It specifically mentioned Dudley's disappointing 3pt shooting. Seems they may be a team interested in Dick or Marvin to stretch the floor. So Russell...what do you love about music? I try not to think about GSW missing the playoffs, but it's too awesome a thought not to think about. But those bitches already stuck it to us once by a narrow margin and probably will again. They'll make the playoff by a half game or something. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

It makes the deal that was done with Golden State this past summer seem even better, especially since their first is looking more and more like a mid-first rounder right now. Paying Dick and Biedrins and having a chance to kick the tires on Rush was worth it if they're able to add a guy like say Doug McDermott from Creighton as a wing shooter.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostSeems about right. I guess the only downside to this is how terrible the East is this year. So that is likely the difference between pick 14 and pick 20. I kept thinking that if GS missed the lotto, no big deal because the difference between pick 13 and say pick 16 is negligible. But the difference between 14 and pick 20/21, that's a bigger difference.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI try not to think about GSW missing the playoffs, but it's too awesome a thought not to think about. Yeah that's the problem. Would make their barely making the playoffs a little more painful.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostI guess the only downside to this is how terrible the East is this year.
