TB, please use "Great Ginga' Hope" whilst referencing Mr. Haws. We've deemed it our favourite nickname. Cheers!

Ah, the board's resident expert on smarts chimes in—agreeing with cougjunkie -lol- You know, I how had a discussion once with Lebowski about how "smart" this place supposedly is, especially with regards to the issue of discussing sports ...

Not always that easy. Lee Cummard never really added weight and I know he did all that you mentioned. Some just can't add weight. And I hate those people.

Haws is never going to be a physical specimen. You can just look at his narrow, rounded shoulders and small bones and know that. He does need to get stronger but at best it will be a wiry strength. Good thing is that wiry strong can be more than enough.

Yes, bench him because he's not very good, because benching him will allow him to play more minutes because we want a guy that isn't very good to get more playing time. Plus, benching him will help him watch more of the game from the bench, so he can learn, even though he's playing more minutes.
Maybe Applejack can forward this strategery on to coach Rose.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

When did I say he wasn't very good?

Playing from the bench is sound coaching philosophy. That's where assistants do a lot of in-game coaching. And it could mean more playing time.

Smackjack is correct, especially when he refers to this place as cougarboard light.
