I’m also surprised with the house. The narrative going into Tuesday was that it was safe for Ds and the question was how much could they build on their majority. If all rep races ended where they are now, Democrats would keep the majority by a single vote.

Really, the only thing that could have been better in the realm of reality was a presidential election so decisive that no one, not even trump, could cry foul. Oh well.

It’s not magic it’s plotting data points based on social interactions and making assumptions based on shared life experience.

When AA, an insanely accomplished person in probs the top 2% of intelligence in the country can’t ’do the right thing’ it’s not hard to extrapolate that to his people.

And this board is filled with similar folks. If the folks here are gravitating to Trump, (they say they aren’t but again read the threads) again what do you think the average person is going to do?

People here have the ability with little consequence to stand up to Trump but most took the tact of, I don’t like him but I love the policy.

I’m not picking on AA but we’re of similar age and I’ve read his posts for probs 15 years now. He’s an insanely smart person.

Trump continuing to beclown himself this am on Twitter. In the past I would have thought that he knew better, and that all his bluster about voter fraud was intentional. But maybe he really believes his own lies.

I hope he continues this everyday until he's gone. I hope independents and centrist republicans watch his flailing and remember well for next election. I hope for relative normalcy for the next 4 years. But I am not hopeful for most GOP voters. It is still worrisome that almost half of voters put up with his shit for four years and willingly signed up for another round.

It wasn’t hard seeing the outcome of the election simply by reading any political thread here by what should be a group of ‘rational’ educated conservatives. If an accomplished educated conservative wasn’t sprinting from Trump after the last 4 years they most likely were going to vote for him. If y’all were voting for him what do you think the average or below average person in America was going to do?

Sure many said they were voting for Biden/third party but it was obvious most were coming home to Trumpism.

Not to turn this into a pissing match, but I can tell you from personal experience that you're not particularly talented at that either (at least not when a message board is the medium).

What they did was defeat Trump and send that orange shit bag packing back to cheesy reality tv-ville where he belongs.

And Biden broke Obama's 2008 record for receiving more votes than any U.S. presidential candidate in history. John McCain is smiling on Arizona and the U.S. this morning.
