There are a number of billboards around Las Vegas recently that show a picture of random people (normally white) and the words "We Are Trump Nation".

Putting aside the horrendous and overuse of the word "Nation" to describe what should really just be a "group", I am actually fairly disturbed by this idea that many people are identifying first as Trump supporters and second as Americans.

Ralston reports that, as of today, 155k ballots have been returned in Clark County (2x as many as this point in 2016) and Democrats make up 60% of those. Tack in Scott Rasmussen's "4% of Republicans are Never Trumpers" and Trump is getting absolutely shellacked here.

Did you read in the RJ on Sunday how the most recent RJ poll had Trump within 2 points or something? Not saying that is right, but I'll be interested to see the final numbers.

Reminds me of voting in Chicago. The walls of the school where our polling station was were lined with newspaper articles celebrating Obama's election. A blatant violation of all kinds of electioneering laws, not that anybody would have done anything about it in Barry's hometown (or that it would have mattered if they did).

I'm sure violations happen everywhere like in your example. I guess in the grand scheme of things, this is relatively minor. But it does have a sheen of voter intimidation.

Maybe he was voting? I'm not sure this was voter intimidation. Is standing there as a police officer a threat of some kind? Do people think he is going to arrest them if they vote for Biden? Couldn't they just lie then?

He was an on duty cop, according to the story. He has already been suspended. At the very least, it is in extremely poor taste. In a different voting district, an armed cop with a Trump mask at a polling center would certainly give an intimidation vibe.

On duty, off duty, it shouldn't matter. A cop in uniform should not be wearing political items like that. At polling places or anywhere.

What's the intimidation exactly? Just that people are afraid of police? Not trying to be an ass here. Perhaps it's just a viceral reaction to cops?
