This mandate is a joke... the USPS is exempt? Wat up with dat? Did the white house staff also get an exemption as well?

Biden and Harris should have just promised (in writing) they would resign if like 85% of the public got vaccinated and then watched how fast folks got their shots.

In just a few days, we hit the 1 in 500 morality rate in the US.

Ha! I think you may be overstating things a bit, but I get it. You don't like him. I saw him described on Twitter as GOOP for men and I thought that was funny.

as usual, Biden is three months late on taking action. This was needed three months ago when delta began to hit.

and this measure is half assed. We need everyone vaxxed. Not just a part of the population. Most large companies already have measures in place for workplace safety that are rigorous and effective. It’s the small businesses that need the regulation in place.
Company size, etc. is probably all related to how current OSHA regs are written. Just a guess.

So apparently the USPS union objected to the mandate and Joe doesn't want to lose their endorsement. I guess he will get the USPS union vote at the expense of all the other voters he pissed off.

I guess they should let the supreme court rule on this...

Yeah, I think you're in for a surprise even with this court. Other than Thomas and maybe Alito, do you think the rest are really in a mood to tear a huge hole through OSHA? I doubt it. Legally there is no case to be made that a safety regulation around controlling a dangerous airborne disease at work must go but stuff about other controllable hazards can stay.

Just because they're screaming idiots doesn't not make them still the minority overall.

Has to be done within the legal regulatory framework that already exists within the departments run by the executive branch. Otherwise it requires Congress to do it. I know, Trump didn't give a flying shit about that kind of thing because he wasn't smart enough to understand it and because he was the king of the world anyway. Doing it like this leaves the courts very little leeway to throw it out becsuse there is so much precedence for letting executive branch federal agencies do their thing.

Yes, the government will have to answer why the USPS got a pass with controlling this dangerous airborne disease at work. And if the supreme court doesn't like their answer...

Maybe there is no good reason. Or maybe the current regs on other stuff treat the usps differently already.

Why is the postal service exempt?

This is looking more and more like the Newsome at the French Laundry as exemptions ar made known. Mandate for you but not for my friends.
