Kudos to Pelosi for not giving in to the crazy radicals on the left for the past two years. She didn’t want to blow her wad on unsupported impeachment calls. Thankfully she waited until there was an actual possibility of substantiated wrong doing by Trump. She’s smart and there’s a reason she’s speaker and AOC and all the other crazies are a side show.
If Trump did withhold aid in an effort to get the Ukrainians to investigate Biden, then I say he should be impeached. The senate won’t confirm but at least he’ll take a hit."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

These are the wrong goalposts IMO. Trump asking a foreign country to investigate a political rival is really bad and impeachable. Even if (and that's a BIG if for UT) Biden is guilty of something, Trump should have kept as far away as possible from it. I mean, didn't he learn anything from the Russia affair?!?Originally posted by Moliere View PostKudos to Pelosi for not giving in to the crazy radicals on the left for the past two years. We shouldn't even care if there's evidence that he withheld aid, though it does kind of smell like that."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Withholding aid makes it much more serious IMO. I don't think asking them to look into corruption issues is impeachable. It is a real head-scratcher that he would do it directly on a documented phone call between heads of state. Even if the Ukranians found something it wasn't going to be an election flash point. This whole ordeal is yet another confirmation of his lack of judgement.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostThese are the wrong goalposts IMO. If this is a legit opportunity to get rid of Trump, I'm all for it. Let's get a better candidate to take on Warren.

Ha ha Trump’s only defense is “surely he isn’t dumb enough to ______ on a documented phone call.”Originally posted by wapiti View PostWithholding aid makes it much more serious IMO. Looks like Drumpf is really worried about releasing the transcripts:Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostThese are the wrong goalposts IMO. I think he totally played the Dems again. He started a rumor that he was asking them to investigate Biden and his son. This brings attention to Biden's son Ukrainian corruption and makes the Dems' heads explode. But Drumpf and the Ukrainian were most likely just talking about golf and grandkids or something on the phone. The Dems are going to look like a bunch of dumbasses (again). They fall for Drumpf's traps every time.

LOL@Biden... He was recorded on video bragging he got the Ukrainian prosecutor that was investigating Hunter Biden fired by threatening to pull US loan guarantees: (BTW, so just how did Hunter Biden get that Ukrainian gas company board position conveniently at the same time his daddy was vice president anyway? It was nice that Hunter could ride with the VP on Air Force Two over to Ukraine. )
I hope Biden is the Dems' candidate. This would make a nice campaign commercial along with all his gaffes and his teeth falling out during the last debate.
Release all the transcripts!..
I guess if they don't release Biden's transcripts then we know who has something to hide."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

I agree with you, that asking a foreign government to investigate a political rival is bad. I do wonder, though, if you had similar outrage over allegations related to the previous administration using our own government to spy on political rivals.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostThese are the wrong goalposts IMO. And if Biden and his dumbass son are not guilty of anything other than being very unethical by using Joe's position and influence for financial gain then what do they have to worry about being transparent with the American people and releasing all their phone transcripts, board meeting minutes, etc? They should want to do it to show that everything was on the up and up like Drumpf is doing. Wasn't Biden part of the "most transparent administration ever"?Originally posted by imanihonjin View PostI agree with you, that asking a foreign government to investigate a political rival is bad. This looks like Drumpf set a trap and the Dems all ran right into it... Now everyone is talking about how Hunter Biden used his daddy's position and power for financial gain. Not to mention got some free plane rides on Air Force Two to the Ukraine so he could collect his fat checks. The Dems are so stoopid.Originally posted by YOhio View PostThis sounds awful and I'm pretty sure that Democrats will overplay their hand and Trump will come out of it about the same as he always does."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.
