You wouldn't be putting words into his mouth or hyperbolizing. He swings these terms all around

I'm showing my age, but the first time I heard about the "wayback machine" was last week at a conference. But great idea, thank you.

        Sigh.
pretty sure that is against the hatch act.

        • Anybody going to their local No Kings protest Saturday? I went last time and was amazed at all the senior citizens and centrists who were there. I was nervous to go as I live in a VERY red town but the local support was eye opening and once there I never felt unsafe. Saturday they are happening all over the country and again I feel some trepidation for my safety but I'm going and it's because of that fear. If I stay home out of hesitancy, it feels like I'm surrendering my right to protest to some extent. Standing peacefully and holding a sign isn't much, but it feels like something concrete that I can do so I will be there.

My wife has it on the calendar. I really don't care that much so I will probably stay home and watch football.

Make sure you stop by the store to pick up a can of soup. For your family.

The one here was very peaceful. The only action was a maga lifted truck driving by and smoking us out once in a while. It was shocking how many in traffic supported with honking and waving. Wasn't flipped off a single time. Also attendance was huge. Probably over 1000 on a Saturday morning in a Trump town. Most I talked to were centrist republicans disgusted with the direction of the party.

That was trampled to dust long, long ago.

I worry ICE is going to show up at these protests. They aren't about law and order

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Decent chance it wouldn't be boring. Hopefully they don't have those triggers happy peacekeepers again

                          • This is such crap. Governor Abbott in Texas is announcing he's sending national guard to Austin and talking about putting down violence. There is no evidence that the no kings protests are planning anything but peaceful demonstrations of dissent. Obviously an attempt to intimidate and scare people into not exercising their Constitutional right to be there to protest.

MAGA is clearly about removing rights.

MAGA is increasingly fascistic. They are very not much not about loyalty to the constitution.

How would Republicans have felt if Obama or democrat governors had sent in national guard to intimidate or put down Tea Party protesters. But they didn't. They allowed citizens to peacefully exercise their rights.
