The chance of some very bad things happening to the United States in the coming months increases exponentially by the minute as these clowns continue to ramp up the idiocy. What is the state of the security of our government or military's IT infrastructure, for example? Do you trust it to Trump, Vance, Musk or Tulsi Gabbard? How can any sane person not be seriously concerned about that?

That's not something you hear from the guy in that position every day.
But Congress doesn't. They're proposing an increase in $100 Billion increased defense spending over the next decade to advance Trump's agenda.

If something bad happens I'm sure it will be the democrats fault for being too woke, saying mean things about Trump or not running a conservative candidate. Anything MAGA does wrong is the fault of "the left."

These are some of the interesting things that have already changed.

We are now openly hostile to a two state solution and possibility of statehood for Palestinian people. Our foreign policy under Trump is existentially threatening to them. Hamas and other Palestinian terrorists and militants groups have targeted the US on our soil. Now I think we risk become a legitimate target for them, especially with Iranian encouragement.

Trump wants to normalize relations with North Korea? WTF? He would that without any diplomatic or security wins. Also for all the chuckles we get from Trump bullying Denmark, Canada, Mexico etc, he is gutless when it comes to dictators. There hasn't even been any critical rhetoric around North Korea being a co belligerent in Ukraine.

As the US is rapidly withdrawing from the world stage and threatening the existence of NATO, others are taking our place.
We risk getting shut out of accessing certain resources because China and Russia are busy locked them up and locking us out.

I'm sure we already being shut out of access to important intel our allies have because they have valid concerns we would compromise their sources and methods.

Meanwhile, the precedent set by pardoning the J6 traitors is ghastly. There are less reasons for one of his minions to second guess engaging in political violence. Legal access to express protest seek redress will become more difficult to access.

Any hint of a violent protest will used as cover to violently crackdown on speech that doesn't support MAGA. Even if "the Right," is a party to or primarily responsible for violence it will be the lefts fault.

You have Russian-aligned fascist and proudly admitted altright jackass Jack Posobiec, traveling with the shitty defensive secretary overseas.

Best thing we can do it be good people and not act numbingly like everything is normal.

                • The Associated Press continues to ignore the lawful geographic name change of the Gulf of America. This decision is not just divisive, but it also exposes the Associated Press' commitment to misinformation. While their right to irresponsible and dishonest reporting is protected by the First Amendment, it does not ensure their privilege of unfettered access to limited spaces, like the Oval Office and Air Force One. Going forward, that space will now be opened up to the many thousands of reporters who have been barred from covering these intimate areas of the administration. Associate Press journalists and photographers will retain their credentials to the White House complex.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Yeah, but the real tragedy here is when the poor democrats get criticized. Right?

I will never forgive Biden for what he did to enable Trump to be reelected. It is perfectly OK to acknowledge that and it doesn't in anyway absolve Trump or MAGA.

Primarily not stepping down early to allow the dems to have a real primary, I assume.

Exactly. Also being a crappy president.

That's my frustration is that it seems there is a lot more energy about making this the democrats' fault when the bottom line is, it is pitiful Republicans didn't have the decency to nominate someone so profoundly shitty 3 different times, including after a violent takeover attempt. It's not that Biden didn't fuck things up.

Merrick Garland deserves some ire too. If you want to prosecute Trump don't slowplay it and allow it to die in the courts. There is a case to be made that not going after him with criminal charges might've just been better because he couldn't be a martyr about it. I'm not sure I'd agree but I'm reconsidering that.

Hell Obama, fucked up by not dealing with the very real election interference. He cowered to Mitch McConnell's threat that disclosing that information would be painted as political grandstanding.

I think actual "leftists," not the people influencers call leftists that includes anyone to the left of Ronald Reagan deserve scorn. Green Party types and social democrats types voted 3rd party or didn't vote. They punished Harris for not hating Israel. They should feel mighty proud right now. There is a complete lack of real pushback within the conservative movement against MAGA.

But right now conservatives just provide constant cover to MAGA like cowards. RFK is talking about going after psychiatry. I could see him fucking up that part of the medical industry. That will harm so many people. A lot of people I've spent years trying to help. But let's talk about evil Dr. Fauci

I know you don't like him. But that is far from universal. I don't understand why there couldn't be more Senators with the decency to block him. He is an anti-science trust fund prick and we think it's a good idea to give him so much authority?

There is so much grandstanding on the importance of moral issues like abortion and traditional marriage, and now they have an elitist nihilist taking a hammer to our country. Like he is cosplaying as a weirdo James Bond villain just because he can. Everyone is falling in line for Musk, Trump and Vance. They've already talked about refusing court orders they don't like. But let's just all focus on shit like legislating that pride flags can never be displayed in schools.

No, there is not a lot more energy about making this the democrats fault. That is all in your head. Let it go. Your hyper-defensiveness on this issue is weird.

I get you don't agree with me, but I don't think this is irrational.
