For the most part I agree with the criticism of her opinions. Where we diverge is the assumption of intent or influence behind those statements. Part of my pushback on this is my frustration at seeing the left fall into the same behavior patterns that completely fail to counter Trump. There are endless valid criticisms of Trump and his team. They can be persuasively offered. When coupled with speculative allegations of foreign influence and control the argument loses effectiveness, diminishes the accuser, and makes a martyr out of the target. Now if factual evidence of treason exists, then of course it should be offered. It will be so much more powerful when it's not surrounded by the white noise of casual accusations.

My thought on Gabbard aren't new and they aren't out of left field.



Her nomination was first announced by Roger Stone on Alex Jones' show. That should tell you a lot about her selection by how excited these doofus's were.


Along the way, Gabbard has demonstrated excessive credulity about claims of autocrats hostile to the United States. In 2017, she drew fire for meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad during a secret trip to Syria. Later that year, she said she was skeptical of US intelligence findings that led then–Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to say US officials had “a very high level of confidence” that chemical weapons attacks that killed dozens of people in Syria were carried out under Assad’s direction.

Gabbard’s position aligned with arguments from Russian officials, who provided key backing to Assad and argued that the 2017 attack was staged by agents of the United Kingdom.


Gabbard again bolstered Russian propaganda in 2022, when she tweeted a video repeatingKremlin claims that US-funded labs in Ukraine were developing biological weapons. The Russian claims appeared to be largely made-upjustifications for Russia invading its neighbor.

Gabbard’s comments drew widespread criticism. “Tulsi Gabbard is parroting false Russian propaganda,” Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) tweetedat the time. “Her treasonous lies may well cost lives.”

I expect hiring freezes, phasing out positions upon retirement, consolidation of "redundant" positions, and shuttering DEI programs. There is no way he is even approaching 50% of the workforce. I don't even think he can get to 25% with everyone in his admin working overtime to make it happen.
