"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

      • The Grift. Trump has little problem raising funds this way. With the failed midterms, no doubt his fundraising is exploding. And he doesn't share this money.

        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon

          • After the events of the past week, my nightmare of Trump winning the election in 2024 and destroying America seems highly unlikely. He is just too toxic for most people to stomach. This gives me hope for our future.

A hilarious truth about her is that a major issue that led to her falling off the Trump train is that he was too soft on immigration.

Agreed. It will be difficult and take time for the repubs to get that stink out, but at least Trump is toast long term. The electorate has come through and our institutions have stood the test.

This election has actually been very affirming. And it's going to be fun to watch the drama, melt down, and destruction.

Yeah, she's been off the Trump train for a couple of years.

He lost one election. Almost everyone he endorsed lost last week. He is toxic.

I hope you are right and think there is a decent chance that you are, but no means certain. Something about a dog returning to its vomit...

Yeah, forget making him president again... How about speaker of the house instead?

Rep. Raskin said a GOP majority could install Trump as Speaker of the House. Matt Gaetz has floated the idea before.
                            • Jamie Raskin says GOP members of the House could try to make Trump the Speaker.
                            • Pro-Trump members have repeatedly talked about the idea, Raskin said on "Face the Nation."
                            • Rep. Matt Gaetz previously told supporters he would nominate Trump if the GOP took the House.

I guess he might be a slight improvement over Nancy Pelosi.

                              1) Made me watch the opening of SNL for the first time in well over a decades

                              2) Helped people understand how Trump got elected. Skp to 7:35 mark
