Yeah, even if everything happened 100% as Pence says in that editorial, shame on him for waiting until now to say it. That should have been written and released in January 2021, not the day AFTER the country soundly rejected Trump and MAGAts. But it's likely a revisionist history which tries to paint Pence in the best light possible while distancing himself from Trump. Pence truly is a lifelong politician. Pence has less of chance at being nominated than Trump, who I think (hope!) is finally done. Pence loses voters from both sides of the Republican spectrum. He was too close to Trump for many moderates to trust (and as DH points out didn't say anything when it could have mattered).
