Are we sure that this group wants to replace McConnell for someone more pro Trump? I think McConnell probably should step down but not to make way for someone more Trumpy. And are we sure after the election results Trumpy people have that much power in the Senate?

The problem with leadership of both parties in both chambers of congress is that they have such tight control over what legislation gets to the floor that bipartisanship is literally impossible. Since 2016, nothing makes it to the floor without explicit approval from leadership. This wasn't the case in prior years. The leadership of both parties are bad for the country. Justin Amash rails about this a lot.

McConnell has been a voice of reason. I hope he survives.

If Hawley is involved , I'm 95% confident they'll go for someone more trumpy

I can't stand McConnell and his failure to take strong action after 1/6 remains a failure. He has helped packed the courts with Trump judges. However, Hawley trots around he is Oswald Mosley.

            He is worse.

He would be a better running mate for Joe than Harris... at least he has a good excuse.

                      Yeah, that should seem obvious.

Oh brother. No other organization in the history of the world has allowed so many people to monetized their idiocy/bigotry/lunacy as Fox News has.

                          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
