Trump pardoned the former pres of Honduras who a big time smuggler and facilitator of drug traffficking.

Trump's favorite Central American, Bukele in El Salvador, is alleged to be involved in the game. There is a reason we haven't stopped. The demand is too and people including our law enforcement are too corrupt that it isn't possible. Some of the programs that have had an impact have been harmed by Trump's bullshit.

He spent most of his time shitposting, it's not like he actually he has any time to come with thoughtful policy.

After Trump fired all of the longstanding board of directors of The JFK Center for the Performing Arts, replacing them with his sycophants, they have renamed the building the Trump Kennedy Center. Disgusting, narcissistic, and unprecedented for a sitting president to have anything named after him while still in office. I hope Trump donates his ego to science for post-mortem study.

According to Rand Paul during more sane times when we would intercept boats and not wantonly kill people, 1 in 4 boats did not have any drugs on board. So if we want to use that crude metric, about 20 innocent people have been killed:

And this point cannot be emphasized enough. It doesn't matter if they're 100% associated with the drug cartel or not. We are killing people for alleged crimes that do not carry the capital punishment in the US. I am shocked that this doesn't register more with the majority of citizens.

I had lunch today with four people from Columbia. Topic of Venezuela came up and they all said it’s absurd to think that there are a lot of drugs coming from Venezuela. They said they have so much oil there, why would they waste their time with drugs? I then joked and said “yeah no kidding, everyone knows all the drugs come from Columbia!“. Nervous laughter.

Well, for Columbia it’s mostly cocaine. Fentanyl and heroin are mostly from Mexico.

When the invasion of Afghanistan was being ramped up everyone talked about how the poppy fields were going to get destroyed and that would make this massive dent on heroin abuse. Yeah ... that didn't happen.

Additionally, I'm not sure why people keep attributing the best intentions to Trump's actions. He sure keeps proving why he doesn't deserve them.

He wants to topple Madura because he wants to do something and god forbid someone pay attention to further evidence he and rapey Epstein had a shared interest in youth.

Mexican cartel and China are main culprits behind the accessibility of fentanyl. There is also a legit medical need for the drug and if you talk to someone in emergency medicine they could explain that.

Trump does irrational and reckless things everyday. This is a big one.
