The two are not the same. What Trump is doing is way worse."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I just don't understand the gotcha that is "the Jews killed Jesus." He lived and proselytized in Galilee and Judea, you know regions populated primarily by Jews. Who else would have had a role in his demise? The Chinese? It was just the Jews and Romans. That's like saying the Americans killed Abe Lincoln.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View Post

Oh yay. Trump is giving medical advice, again:
Just so everyone is clear, the widely expected announcement that tylenol increases risk of autism has been refuted by the largest study to date. And depending on how many women trust RFK Jr.'s, um principled HHS term, we may see an uptick of entirely preventable pregnancy complications:"We're gonna have one of the biggest announcements, really, medically, I think, in the history of our country," President Trump said Sunday night, referring to a press conference scheduled for Monday afternoon. "I think we found an answer to autism."
Another recommendation might be the use of Leucovorin during pregnancy, based on a reported association of low folic acid and autism. Who knows we're going to go straight to therapy without controlled studies. And who are these people to suggest it's too early to recommend an unproven drug during pregnancy:Meanwhile, groups like the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine have stood by recommendations to use acetaminophen to treat fever and pain in pregnant women. The group argues that untreated fever, for example, can cause grave harms such as miscarriage, birth defects or premature birth, especially early in a pregnancy.
Make America healthy again, indeed. The Autism Science Foundation said in a statement last week that there are four studies suggesting low folate levels in pregnant women could increase the risk of autism, but it said "this science is still in very early stages, and more studies are necessary before a definitive conclusion can be reached.

What an utter disgrace for a supposedly enlightened nation. Trump can't bother to learn how to pronounce a drug name and then proceeds to upend obstetrical pain management on its head, all because of the feels.
And then this guy, this guy, after all that has been said about vaccines and autism, leads us back to square one trying to fight a battle that should have been won. And the reference to 'believe all women' is just gross:
Just so disgusting that there is no scientific field in which Trump and his minions cannot bulldoze over because of a general distrust in experts."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. It’s amazing to me that we’ve had this data for so long and it took Trump to expose the Big Acetaminophen for what it is! Praise be to Trump for curing autism!"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. I listened to RFKJ's press conference. The language he used was very precise. He was sure to use phrases like "a potential link" or other, which is WELL short of WE CURED AUTISM!"Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

One more, just to document how fundamentally unserious and potentially dangerous Trump can be:
The experts are 'the establishment'. 'Maybe they're right, but I don't think they are'. 'No downside'.
Gramps sees nothing but black and white, and conspiracies all around him. With Dr. Oz and others who should know better right behind him. Except for RFK Jr. He should be jettisoned into space.
What an embarrassing day."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Well, don't worry, I follow the PRESIDENT (Follow the President, follow the President, follow the President, he knows the way!), and Dr. Trump said that "Tylenol is bad." What else does anyone need to know?Originally posted by Moliere View Post
