Trump has had amazing good fortune with respect to the start of his two presidencies, esp. compared with the starts of his two predecessors. Obama inherited a financial crisis and two wars. Biden inherited the worst global pandemic in 80 years and the resultant global inflation. Although it was terribly botched, Biden ended the Afghan War, the economy is strong overall, there's a ceasefire in Gaza, etc. And yet Trump will claim once again that everything was horrible as he took over and that he turned things around miraculously (and any misfortunes that rise during his presidency will have been caused by his predecessors).Comment
