    • This link from Telegram says that 10,000 Ukrainian troops have completed their training in the UK and are now returning home. I imagine that fresh, somewhat rested, forces can have an immediate positive effect on morale, subsequent training, and outcomes. https://t.me/killpukin/11330

It's Luhansk Oblast in the East, about 60-70 miles east of Lyman, Kharhiv Oblast. Here's a google map centered on Svatove, the place where I shared all that Russian heavy digging equipment last week. https://goo.gl/maps/bWpmsWgQJ1bDm5Ra7

I don't know wap, they'll be going up against these newly deployed crack Russian troops.

"Oh wow, we happened upon a Ukrainian checkpoint." Go get 'em Ivan!

Actually, this is pretty sad for these guys. Happy they took action and surrendered.
          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

If anything, I'd think it's better for them than for the ones who spent months occupying and torturing, raping, practicing diabolical dentistry on, and murdering civilians. They have plausible deniability that they weren't there long enough to join their comrades.

            • I had a visceral reaction to these poor, dumb bastards driving over obvious mines. You can see the interior of their vehicle flash orange when the explosion fries their lungs. Even if they survived the impact, they likely asphyxiated shortly thereafter.

I saw that earlier. How on earth did they not see the mines?

                    • There is now visual, photographic confirmation of the Russians having lost 7,000 different vehicles in this war, with 2,300+ of those having been captured. The UK posits that over half of the armored vehicles in the Ukrainian military are repurposed, captured Ruzzian vehicles, especially MBTs. That's totally nuts.

This war sometimes reminds me of those baseball games that has a fan race against Mr. Freeze or some other character with a massive head start, and then still losing to competency + talent.

                        • This video was posted 11 minutes ago to Telegram, so I don't know what it's saying, but context clues, insignia, and the difference in quality of their gear, and the word "russky" a couple of times make me think that these are Russian POWs. Anyone speak enough of a Slavic language to make out what they're saying? (No gore or blood in the video)

                          • This is a real tweet from a verified account. I feel like Libertarians under 40 think they're edgy and over 40 are just liberals who hate paying taxes and don't like being told what to do by anyone.

                              • Wuap, I’m glad you are posting in this thread. I don’t have the time to follow everything on this ear but I wish I did because I find it fascinating. You at least hit the high points and with good links.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
