          Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                        I meant Putin looks weak. He knew Biden was going to Kyiv, but was too scared to escalate things too much.

                          I recommend you read this story that quotes several Ukrainian people and how they have dealt with the air raid sirens. I have no doubt the warnings have saved many thousands of lives throughout the war so far. I found each testimony in the story to be both fascinating and sad.

                          I'm reminded of the time when that young lieutenant from 2nd Platoon came in to our TOC and saw me all dressed up in my battle rattle prepared for the nightly incoming attack (mortars and rockets). He asked me, "Are we under attack?!" I looked at my watch and said, "Yep. Same time every night." Some people will get used to the warnings and relax, while others will take more of a protective posture because they know how to survive in combat. Wow, was that really 20 years ago?

                          One incoming rocket hit the terminal at Baghdad International Airport and wounded a civilian contractor. I heard on the radio as they called for DUSTOFF (helicopter MEDEVAC). As they flew to the Green Zone to get emergency treatment to the contractor, the onboard medic kept giving the same update: "still looking for an airway..." I knew he must have already been dead, and they were waiting for a doctor to make that declaration.
