As far as doctor-politicians go I would definitely vote for Rand Paul but never for Carson -- he is way too odd and his sensationalized story about violence and religious conversion is so weird.

That CNN story is funny. They are up in arms that they can't valid the fact that Carson was a very violent child Seems like not being to validate that would be a good thing.

My experience with doctors is anecdotal, but I have never met one that I felt could be a decent office manager, let alone a president. Doctors are extremely smart and gifted....at medicine, but they just seem to lack the requisite skills for managing anything, let alone running the nation. I don't think I coudl see Carson running the government any better than Obama (who lacked any real executive experience in any capacity), which is a low bar. Plus, Carson is extremely boring...like eating paint chips boring.

And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Weird post. A lot of docs are small business owners or manage academic departments/divisions and do just fine, no?

But yeah with the religiosity and made up stories from his youth Carson is living in a fantasy world. He definitely strikes me as the type of doc who wouldn't be a very good manager or business owner.

After what Trump (and Hillary) have gotten away with, I would never count anyone out.

I guess I still don't think Trump has a chance so I didn't even think of him. I mentioned Hillary because of he troubles with honesty.....Trump is just a buffoon. On that note though, I am going to a Trump rally next week. Should be fun. I am seriously considering chest paint.

                            • I'm no neurosurgeon, but this isn't the first time Carson's personal story has come under attack, is it? I thought there were allegations that he embellished the amount of violence in his early life.

Isn't Carson beating Hillary in a hypothetical head to head matchup? I don't think it would play out that way, but man what a weird cycle.
