Good grief. This debate is a clown show."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Haven't been able to watch. Has he shown well or just had a couple jabs? Also how is Rubio doing? I think those two are the only Republican hopes. Any of these other candidates is a huge loser in the general.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostHe is ripping trump and Carson tonight and not mincing words. Go Kasich!

Rubio gutted Bush in an exchange. Kasich hasn't had much time."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

The mods were awful since the questions they asked were incredibly stupid. I'm not sure they were trying to be politically biased, but the mods were just unintelligent and obviously has little experience moderating a debate. Cruz was on point by calling them out on the line of questioning and I give him credit for that, and I'm no fan of Cruz. I still can't believe that even after getting beaten to a pulp, the mods asked another question in an attempt to get one of the candidates (can't remember who) to go after another candidate. The audience loudly, and rightly so, booed the mods. I was hoping that at some point one of the candidates would just say "that's a clown question, bro."Originally posted by Maximus View PostWhile I hate Cruz and thinks he whines a lot , it is true the moderators ask a lot of biased dumb questions that you don't see at the dem debates.
Kasich was good last night but he won't be in much longer. He's a good veep pick though. Jen is awful and likely done. Rubio was very good and Christie actually seemed better, although I don't like him and he's still a tremendous longshot. Cruz was rambling except for his one or two zingers and Carson was asleep, as usual. Trump baffles me. Nothing he says makes sense but his lackeys continue to pull for him. Carly is a bad pick, even for veep. The huckster needs to quit and go write a book. Paul is less likable than his dad, which is saying something."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. lol no he wasn't. he didn't want to respond to a substantive question about his role in the government shutdown. that's not a trap question, or a biased one. cruz did something monumentally dumb and didn't feel like explaining himself.Originally posted by Moliere View PostCruz was on point by calling them outTe Occidere Possunt Sed Te Edere Non Possunt Nefas Est.

My point was that the questioning was absurd, not that Cruz avoided a question. They all avoid questions. Kasich didn't even give lip service to the first question asked. Cruz was right to call them out regardless of whether or not he answered the question. He then made it clear he would answer the question.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postlol no he wasn't. he didn't want to respond to a substantive question about his role in the government shutdown. that's not a trap question, or a biased one. cruz did something monumentally dumb and didn't feel like explaining himself."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. I thought Rubio had one of the best moments of the debate when Bush turned on him with a surprisingly vicious comment about his senate voting and then Rubio delivered a perfect response. Details here:
