I saw a thing on CNN shortly after the basket of deplorables comment by Clinton. They cited a poll of likely voters from March (I think) of 2016. I dont recall the exact percentages, but when asked a series of questions about racist and sexist attitudes, about 35-45% of Trump voters were sen as being racist and sexist. Interstingly, about 25-35% of CLinton voters were in the same cateogry. It made me wonder on the racism issue if they backed out minorities from those nuymbers iof it didnt turn out that about the same percentage of white voters are racist in both parties.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

How about borrowing money and not paying it back, or contracting with someone to do work for him and not paying them for their work even when he has the money -- just because he's Trump and the rules for everyone else don't apply to him? There are dozens, if not hundreds of examples of this from Trump's business history. Any democratic candidate with that baggage would be ripped on by the same "conservative" radio talk people who are now promoting Trump. He's garbage.Originally posted by byu71 View PostYes, there is enough to wack Trump without the bull crap, like the other peoples money jab. I guess the lefties will eat it up.
Do you have an estimate of how many people who will vote for Trump are racists? Let's say he gets 40% of the total vote, what percent of the 40 is deplorable?Last edited by BlueK; 09-21-2016, 10:47 AM.

LOL. This is an easy problem to solve. All pollsters need to do is ask 'are you a racist?' after they ask for party affiliation.Originally posted by byu71 View PostYes, there is enough to wack Trump without the bull crap, like the other peoples money jab. I guess the lefties will eat it up.

Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

A 1 in 2000 ratio? Don't be ridiculous. Nobody would stand for that.Originally posted by byu71 View PostThe Trump's and their campaign are totally out of sink with the American public on this refugee thing. We are a generous nation, even if a lot of the world doesn't think so.
I will bet if there were a poll asking, if you let in 100,000 refugees and 1 kills 50 Americans, isn't the trade off worth it? Most Americans would say while terrible , it is worth the price because our values are worth that cost.
Thankfully, the actual risk is a tiny fraction of that number."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Trump may be closing the gap, but he's still behind in the polls. The difference during the primaries is that he stayed ahead in the polls the whole time and the "denial" he's talking about was about all the theories people floated out there about why Trump would eventually come down. So it's not exactly the same situation.Originally posted by pelagius View PostIn what way am I supposed to provide hope here? (I suppose I should have said: I alone can fix!!)

I want to pay less in taxes at least as much as the next person, but please tell me how we can afford these kinds of tax breaks while increasing spending, but not come dangerously close to becoming like Greece or any number of other countries that eventually destroyed their economies by spending like crazy and not paying for it?

Another article about Trump that scares the hell out of me.
"A Trump victory would render the Constitution as toothless as the Statuto Albertino of 1848 after Mussolini’s March on Rome. That’s not because Trump proposes violating this or that provision; it is because, to him and his followers, the Constitution is simply nonexistent."
"Trump’s most consistent and serious commitment is to the destruction of free expression. (Note that his response to the bombings in New York and New Jersey was to call for a rollback of the free press, on the grounds that “magazines” are somehow instructing the bombers.) In other areas, his program is torture, hostage taking, murder of innocent civilians, treaty repudiation, militarized borders, official embrace of Christianity, exclusion and surveillance of non-favored religious groups, an end to birthright citizenship, racial and religious profiling, violent and unrestrained law enforcement, and mass roundups and deportation."
Sounds like Putin to me.

Not as funny as the one with President Obama, but still pretty good.
