So come on folks, if our ancestors could effectively persecute bad sects, so can we.
I can't begin to describe the revulsion I feel for that man.
He's making light of my family--my direct ancestors--being forced out of Missouri in the dead of winter. My great, great, great grandfather was forced from his farm in Gallatin, MO, lost his livelihood, and was never compensated. His sister, pregnant, lost her unborn child and toddler to exposure. They all would have died if not for compassionate people who took them in.
And I'm just "going with the flow," because I believe in compassion for Syrian refugees? I just want to be a "good white?"
I'm not Governor Herbert's biggest supporter or anything, but I won't be voting for Lilburn W. Trump.
A much more detailed look that doesn't simply rely on past results, but includes current polling trends.
According to RCP, Trump is up by 4 points in Iowa. He also appears to be polling better in Nevada and Ohio than Romney was at this point.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
I think Trump would get a lot of push back not matter who was in Congress.
or he would just start to govern like a democrat by giving away tons of free stuff without bothering to pay for it and borrow the country into further oblivion. It wouldn't matter who is in congress because the dems will go along with him when he acts like one, which on the economic front he will. He will also continue to say a lot of crazy shit that offends other countries and risk international conflict for no reason. Is there really a compelling reason to think he can act like an immature 13 year old middle school bully but then suddenly shift gears and be an adult after the election?

Yes it is truly sad we have a choice of which is worse
The other expenditures involved smaller amounts. In 2013, Trump used $5,000 from the foundation to buy advertisements touting his chain of hotels in programs for three events organized by a D.C. preservation group. And in 2014, Trump spent $10,000 of the foundation’s money for a portrait of himself bought at a charity fundraiser.
Or, rather, another portrait of himself.
Several years earlier, Trump had used $20,000 from the Trump Foundation to buy a different, six foot-tall portrait.
Lolz.
Do you even have a billion, bro?

Small potatoes compared to what the Clinton Foundation has been doing. The press and Clinton Campaign should stick to the "he's batshit crazy" tactic.

So I've heared. But my 'Clinton scandal meter' has been constantly on alert for so long now that I honestly don't know what to make of it. At least it has funded worthwhile causes...

6% went to charitable causes. The rest has gone to paying lavish salaries, including Chelsea's, and trips and accommodations that I'm sure weren't austere. The idea that it's actually a charity is widely mocked. On their tax returns, they failed to initially report millions of dollars.
Plus, as SoS, something like half the people she met with according to her calendar were donors to the Clinton Foundation.
Trump can tee off on Hillary all day if they want to discuss some gaudy self-portrait he spent a few thousand dollars on.

I'm in no position to judge the relative ethics of each scandal; again, my Clinton scandal meter is broken. Mostly I'm just Lol'ing at Trump using charitable donations to settle lawsuits and such when he's fabulously rich.
