Sounds like a good answer to me.

      • Why is Trump only 6 points ahead in Texas? Trump is doing better than Romney as of today, in some of the battleground states, but in Texas which hasn't gone democrat since 1976, Romney beat Obama by 16 points in 2012.

Because he dissed the popular ex President, George W. Bush. He also dissed the beloved Ted Cruz.

Texas has a huge Hispanic population and a lot of them voted for Bush and less for Romney. Trump has understandably turned them off in Texas.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

yeah, that makes some sense. Texas has the most electoral votes of any state other than California. It would seem to be really hard for Trump to win if he can't hold onto this state that always goes Republican.

If he loses Texas I can guarantee he won't win. Even though the polls show him within the margin of error in many places, I put his chances at 10% of winning. Only caveat would be if there are a lot of people who are too insecure to admit they are voting for Trump.

                  • Another fun Donald Trump article. Yes, I know it's a little dated. Kind of funny hearing someone call Trump a communist. The thing is, given what this man went through, I think he has earned the right to say it.

                    • If Trump loses what will happen to the Republican Party?

                      Does it split?
Does it hold together with the anti-Trumps and pro-Trumps at each other's throats for years to come?
Does it hold together and everyone goes back to getting along again?

My best guess is if they maintain the Senate and House they will hold together. In 4 years they will be even stronger because all those who voted for Pres. Obama and now regret it will be joinged by those who regret even more having voted for the lieing machine.

Look at how generous the clintons are with the money they extracted from people/nations paying for access to the Secretary of State!

                              That's how.

I think the party is in more danger if Trump wins than if he loses. I say this as a lifelong Republican.
