and yes you are prejuding what happened based on your preconceived thoughts on israel
That's simply not accurate. If you'd bothered to read or watch the news you'd find several articles describing the DIY nature of some Hamas rockets as well as their penchant for locating their facilities in and around public buildings.

I think it is likely the IDF is right, but they posted a video on twitter 'proving' it and then promptly deleted it

regardless of the truth, this has the potential to escalate things in the west bank to dangerous levels

Kind of ironic that people who were skeptical and demanded proof of the baby killings are now so unflinchingly convinced of Israel's guilt because the "Hamas Health Ministry" said so within seconds of the incident happening.

We don't censor posts unless it is an extreme case. Things can get chippy at times and that is fine - we all need to have thick skins and not take things personally, especially when discussing emotional topics like this. At the same time, we do expect people to be civil to one another.

I know some of you follow the "War on the Rocks" podcast. They had a really good podcast this week with a guest who is an expert on urban warfare and discussed what we should expect in the coming Israeli invasion of Gaza. A few takeaways:

                    1) Urban warfare is an an incredibly difficult battle environment.
                    2) Hamas has built extensive tunnels under Gaza that will greatly complicate matters for the Israelis
                    3) There is no technological solution that Israeli can use to make this clean and antiseptic. It will be long, brutal, and bloody.
                    4) Hamas has a very deliberate and open strategy to fire rockets from highly populated areas and to bring the fighting to an urban environment to elicit a strong response that causes massive death and destruction of their own people in order to garner sympathy from people around the world.

I remember the only time I dropped an F-bomb in front of my dad. We were golfing and I hit it out of bounds, and it just came out. I was horrified, because I never heard him curse once in his life, not even a hell or damn. I heard my mother curse one time, but she said damnation, so I'm not sure if that counts.

Well said. I know I got caught up in the horror of the moment, and should have been more judicious with what I said. If I offended anyone, I apologize.

My mother was one of the most religious, straight-laced people you could ever meet. But if she stubbed her toe or something, she would let out a blue streak that would make a sailor blush. Always cracked me up.
