How worried are you about a direct iran involvement

“No one can guarantee control of the situation and the non-expansion of the conflicts,” he said, according to an Iranian foreign ministry statement. “Those who are interested in preventing the scope of war and crisis from expanding need to prevent the current barbaric attacks… against citizens and civilians in Gaza.”

Why would I be worried about something so obvious? Iran is behind this. I'm worried that in spite of their hand in Hamas actions, no one will truly hold Iran to account.

It's time to deal with Iran.

The russia comment is obviously directed at my response, so I will rebut, but the differences between ukraine and gaza from a strategic and risk perspective are entirely obvous. I never said the israel invasion couldnt lead to a wider conflict. That is the primary concern of any thinking person. But the catalysts to escalation in each conflict are very different. Israel has a finite window in which they can dismantle Hamas and improve their security situation going forward, with the lowest risk a wider conflict. The longer they wait and if they allow hamas to claim any kind of victory, groups on their other borders will be more likely to pounce and those are the dominoes that could draw Syrian and Iran directly and then potentially russia. I am under no delusion that Israel isn't on a knife's edge but I also believe swift destruction of hamas is the surest way to avoid other bad actors jumping in to the conflict. I am not blind to the costs of this action nor am I cavalier about it.

It’s not going to be a swift. IDF is saying it’s going to be a long war. Gaza is done, they are going to occupy, Bibi saves his life, conspiracies, atrocities will abound over the next year.

I shared that video to counter your ridiculous "collateral damage" narrative.

Israel needs to occupy Gaza. That’s the best path forward. It’s an awful path but that’s where we are. The pale stains will be upset but they’ll be better off and maybe they can stop the terrorist attacks at some point.

I can't see any other "solution." Hamas needs to either be destroyed or debilitated to the point it can no longer attack Israel-there is no other way to accomplish that tactical goal.

War isn't a solution, but it is necessary.
