So people who support this decision are unwitting dopes of the far right? Do you have any idea who dismissive and condescending that sounds?Originally posted by frank ryan View PostI think's fair to question the attention an issue is receiving. I also think this issue in particular has been strategically used to fuel the far right. I'm don't doubt you will disagree, but I'm not being insincere or truculent by raising that point.
Furthermore, if 79% of the American public agree that biological males should not be in women's sports, why on earth should this not get attention?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

I didn't say anything about a specific decision, but this issue as whole especially when you stack it up against what I view as far more pressing concerns.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

I don't get why you come at me so often. I think what is going on with our governments and the executive branch is of urgent concern, and it's not close.
I do think much of this culture shit is enflamed and propagandized. I think some people like LibsofTikTok, Matt Walsh etc are not driven by the truth. I've shared in previous posts some of my rational.

There is data showing that close to 1,000 women have had to compete and lost medals and championships to biological males competing in women's sports.Originally posted by Maximus View Post
womens sports are not at risk because there a few transgender people, it is hysteria that is part of a larger hysteria against trans
no one is transitioning to play sports in college
I even agree in general trans women shouldnt play but it is a subject of undue focus that should be handled locally
To think this is inconsequential is dismissing that these are in the infancy of this movement and would grow from here..
What I don’t understand is how a full male can flash his male genitalia in front of women and there is no arrest for sexual exposure etc. These women did not agree to this and were essentially forced to view a male and his parts without choice. That is how fucked up our world has become.

Let’s be reminded that this issue wasn’t created by the right. The left is the side that decided that biological males should have access to spaces and opportunities traditionally reserved for women. Further, anyone who questions it is guilty of transphobia or dehumanization. Now that the right is pushing back they’re now guilty of manufacturing a culture war.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostI think's fair to question the attention an issue is receiving. I do think this culture war is manufactured. Why the hell is that so ridiculous? It's working. People care more about this than how awful Trump and Musk are.Originally posted by YOhio View Post

You don't need to add hyperbole or add absolutes to my words when I'm trying to be honest.

I think individuals can express and have many opinions on all topics. The cultural war is a direct attack on women. As a Father of a girl who see the impact this cs have on her, I will pick up the fight for her rights when feminism has been distorted so drastically. The dismantling of our govt. is another political war taking place in our country. I believe this is a direct result of the dehumanizing of conservatives to the point they have swung much further than the middle to get retribution for all the insults and attacks for having differing opinions.Originally posted by frank ryan View Post

I have fear and anxiety on what is happening but I also worry the trumpet of fear can at times be so overwhelming that it can reduce the importance or cause one to live in fear which is unhealthy.
I realized my anxiety kicked it up a notch when I read these threads too much so I step away for periods of time to remember life continues to progress forward.

Lia Thomas is clearly a pervert but this is the exception not the rule. No one even knew the sjsu girl was trans until she told a roommate but now it's worth suing over?Originally posted by dabrockster View Post

This may be the case, but they stole a national championship and that should never been allowed to happen.Originally posted by Maximus View Post

As I said as well, close to 1,000 women/girls have faced biological males and taken that same amount of medals and championships. It isn’t out of the norm but would only increase..Originally posted by Maximus View Post

While you try and rationalize one person doesn’t negate the severity of it and it happening again or has without our knowledge.
The idea of a man declaring himself to be a woman and then invading female spaces and their sports is as patriarchal as you can get and pure misogyny.

Who decides who has to submit to a blood draw? How much proof and due process are you entitled to receive before you are required to submit to a blood draw? Or, for sake of making sure we cover all bases, should we just make anyone who wants to compete in the female division prove their gender with bloodwork first?Originally posted by Green Monstah View Post
A blood draw.

I've facetiously suggested that the best way to solve this transgender participation in sports issue is just to stop discriminating on the basis of gender. Simply have one division. If you happen to swim fast enough to make the team, then congratulations: you're on the team, with no inquiry as to the status of your genitalia or your preferred use thereof necessary. No one likes that idea, obviously, because it would mean there would be no women's sports. And if we do want the division to exist, then there is seemingly no argument as to why that division should exist that would not in turn require screening biological males.
Thing is this, though. The amount of attention this issue gets far outpaces its relative importance. A few, like the participants, have genuine standing to object. But as for the millions of people who never gave a thought to women's collegiate swimming before a biological male wants to participate, one can't help but suspect their passion is driven by something other than protecting women's athletics.τὸν ἥλιον ἀνατέλλοντα πλείονες ἢ δυόμενον προσκυνοῦσιν

Interesting argument. Women's sports are dumb and inconsequential so people shouldn't care. Good luck with that.Originally posted by All-American View PostThing is this, though.
