A few of the Walz debate whoppers and bad moments:

- His response to getting caught saying he was in Hong Kong during Tianenman square was embarrassing and painful to watch.

- He was asked to explain how their proposal to give money to first time home buyers wouldn't make the housing shortage worse. He completely ignored the question and gave some random response.

- He claimed that border crossings were worse under Trump. Total nonsense. WTF was he thinking?

- He was rattled when Vance pressed him on saving babies who survive late term abortions.

- When the Jan 6th issue came up, he should have gone for the jugular, but he seemed timid even on that issue. Oy vey.

- He claimed his son witnessed a shooting. Turns out he was in the general vicinity of a shooting - he didn't witness it. Good gravy, you would think he would be more careful with the truth at this point.

- "Sometimes it is just the guns." What an incredibly stupid thing to say.

In general, he floundered. I listened to an NYT recap of the debate this morning and they uniformly agreed that Walz had a poor performance relative to Vance.

Don't disagree on some of these, but to be fair, Walz did have some strong moments in speaking about abortion and his Jan 6th was not a facebook post was awesome. Overall, Walz was not as polished, but not a deal breaker by any stretch. Republicans that are euphoric over this debate are crazy.

I doubt this means much to you Ted, but it is 100% horseshit that that woman didn't die because Roe v Wade got repealed. She sought medical attention because her very early term medically induced abortion (we're all more or less cool with that, right?) outside of Georgia (because of draconian abortion laws) didn't complete. She wasn't able to get back to North Carolina for follow-up, so we went to a Georgia hospital. And since Georgia's politicians felt morally superior to medical professionals they threw together a bullshit law that made procedures done with medical instruments tangentially related to abortion illegal, the doctors delayed the very necessary medical procedure under a cloud of potential criminality until it was too late.

What Walz said about abortion yesterday was the gospel truth. That woman's death very literally happened because Roe v. Wade was repealed. There will be more.

I'm not the smartest guy in the world....but why do we beat the drum on abortion? Shouldn't we be pushing safe sex more? 99.9% of pregnancies can be avoided with the use of protection. I understand that rape happens....but lets talk about a majority of the abortions.

I get tired of hearing about "women's reproductive rights" when realistically that could have been handled if you'd have just told the dude if he wanted to get laid he had to use protection. Why is this not a talking point?

I wouldn't call it a wipeout, but Walz clearly lost that debate. I can imagine Trump's campaign advisors watching Vance's calm, methodical performance and wishing that Trump has a small fraction of his self discipline.

Why don't they grind up the aborted babies and make dog food out of it? I mean I have heard the argument that babies before they are born are simply clumps of cells. Those cells have protein, right? Babies have no rights until they are born. Just think of all the dogs they could feed! Don't give me the argument that babies in the womb are more than just clumps of cells and shouldn't be feed to dogs or you will disappoint me as my democrat friend.

I am all for liberals getting vasectomies and tubal ligations (tubes tied)... I am even for government funds being used for it (tell the Pope to STFU). If Diddy and the other liberals are having wild sex parties and orgies we need to do the responsible thing and have them spayed and neutered.
