I assume they purchased the bricks from Four Seasons Landscaping, MAGA's go-to place for press conferences.

Literal laugh out loud on that. Thanks, PAC.

I attended a very good first session this evening of an eight-week Stanford seminar, Election 2024: Democracy on the Ballot. Tonight’s panel included Margaret Spellings, Mark McKinnon, Steve Schmidt, and John Della Volpe, a high-powered group of presidential advisers and pollsters, three of them Republican (or formerly such in Schmidt’s case). Among the takeaways: the election can go either way but at this point, Harris is on track for a solid victory. She can increase her growing lead if she (i) persuades voters she won’t destroy the economy, and (ii) downplays the woke stuff. Hopefully, she's listening...

I was a little surprised by McKinnon’s observation that democracy really is at risk here. He noted that the hallmark element of a democracy (first demonstrated by the handoff from Washington to Adams) is the peaceful transition of power. Trump did everything in his power to stop that in 2020 and he’s setting up to be even more aggressive this time around if he loses, declaring that the only way he will lose is if the Democrats cheat. Heaven help us.

          lol

Hope Trump is able to find the hurricane victims among the miles and miles of MAGA supporters.

          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Jeff Flake endorses Harris. He backed Biden in 20, so not terribly surprising. He has served as an ambassador to Turkey which was a pretty important and delicate post.

The former Republican senator from Arizona also endorsed Joe Biden in 2020.

Watching the VP debate. Both of these guys seem way more intelligent and capable than Trump/Harris.

Walz is not doing that well. It's crazy that Harris and Walz are the beat options the Dems have against Trump. Hubris!

But they are both being relatively civil which is refreshing.

They aren't the best options. You know that. They are the best options they could cobble together with 90 days left to the election.

I love these debates, but the VP debate is theater nothing more. Zero people base their choice on VP.

I don’t want to trigger Uncle Ted, but Walz has told a ton of whoppers tonight. In a folksy way of course.

Yeah. You're probably too young to recall, but when Lloyd Benson knocked out Dan Quayle in front of the American people with the "you're not John Kennedy" retort, Bush/Quayle still won a month later.

JD Vance of 2016 who had zero political or leadership experience? Or just the idea of JD who had the facade of morals and integrity (then gave them up for Peter Thiel and the Silicon radical right wing).
