  • Shame on both Trump and Vance for promoting such a stupid and race baiting lie.

Who do they think this will appeal to? The people who are anti immigration are already voting for them.

But MAGA is mostly tapped out as a resource. Is there much more to squeeze out of them than suburban moderates? I don't see it but the race is close. I'm not sure "they are eating your pets" and "tarrifs are magic and will solve every domestic problem" is a winning strategy.

I agree, but what could be the explanation? It's as if they have given up on attracting more voters from the middle. Or they are delusional, thinking these messages will appeal.

Or, maybe it's just Trump. He says what he says and everyone else needs to jump on board and amplify the absurd.

Even then, the race is still very close. So, maybe they're the geniuses.

I think many on the left, or those who are supporting Harris, are underestimating the anger at, lack of trust in, and desire to hold to account the many cultural, efucational, and political institutions that are controlled by the progressive or liberal elite. They have not performed well and grossly abused their power. All valid reasons for voting choice. But they have chosen (or have been left with no choice in their eyes) to support Trump, one of the most dishonest and incompetent politicians we have ever seen.

Just trying to find a few more bigots among the undecided voters.

                    • Unfortunately Boogie man tactics are generally effective. Scaring people motivates a good portion of the electorate to vote.

                      • The worst part of Trump isn't any of his stated policies (most aren't enacted), it's the dog whistles he indiscriminately uses for whatever political advantage he wants. The deplorables are listening:

Yep. It's too bad that the other side uses these tactics.

At least my side is above those tactics. All my side does is warn about legitimate concerns.

Having an impassioned base is always desirable. This helps create a scapegoat. A non-white foreign group who does uncouth things. MAGA is less rational than your average political movement. They aren't driven by ideas.

Both sides are completely the same. This is all normal
