Has anyone from Trump's first administration come off in a better spot due to their service with him? Maybe Ronny Jackson, but I'm not sure if that qualifies. Everyone else seems to have ended up in a worse spot due to their service with Trump. It makes me wonder if Vance isn't signing on to the end of his political career.

As far as the assination attempt - a pretty awful break down in security - I can make a 150 yard shot with an M-16 over open sites. And I'm not a particularly good shot. It almost point blank. How that location was missed is at the least an embarrassing oversite for the Secret Service.

Secret Service pointing the finger at local law enforcement. Saying that Pennsylvania State Police were responsible for securing the buildings outside the security perimeter of the rally grounds. Uh...I'm not sure the "not it!" defense is going to work here.

Alleged Trump shooter spotted by law enforcement nearly 30 minutes before shots fired, sources say

Channel 11 news uncovered dramatic new details Monday in the moments leading up to the assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump. According to multiple law enforcement sources, Thomas Crooks was spotted by law enforcement on a roof nearly 30 minutes before shots were fired that injured Trump, killed a former fire chief, and injured two others in the crowd.

Channel 11′s Nicole Ford confirmed that Beaver County’s ESU team had eight members at the rally, including snipers and spotters. According to Ford’s sources, one of them noticed a suspicious man on a roof near the rally at 5:45 p.m., called it in and took a picture of the person. We have learned from our sources the person in that picture is Thomas Crooks. We’re told it’s not clear if Crooks had a gun with him at that point.

According to multiple sources, a law enforcement officer had also previously seen Crooks on the ground and called him in as a suspicious person with a picture prior to 5:45 p.m. Our sources tell us an officer checked the grounds for Crooks at that point, but did not see him where the first picture was taken.

26 minutes after the second picture of Crooks was taken by law enforcement and the information called in, shots were fired from the roof of the American Glass Research building. Seconds later, a Secret Service sniper returned fire and killed Crooks.

That was my first thought. I think my only misses on any qualification range in my army time were from 200, 250, and 300 meters.

I always saved my 300 meter shots to use on the 250 meter targets Anybody who has been through basic should be able to make a 150 meter shot.

The head of the USSS said the buck stops with her...

Yet, she is blaming the local law enforcement...

"And then we sought assistance from our local counterparts for the outer perimeter. There was local police in that building -- there was local police in the area that were responsible for the outer perimeter of the building."

She is not resigning and gets to make her case in front of congress...

Cheatle said she would not resign from her role.

She is expected to testify before the GOP-led House Oversight Committee next Monday, July 22.
